My Dad and mom have used this hotel for a long long time and love it there so in 2016 we all went there has a family 15 in all. The hotel staff were fantastic thay made it fell like home from home, the room's are clean with air conditioning... the beach is a 2 min walk from hotel the shop's on door step... so 2017 we all went back for our holidays and yet again another fabulous 2 weeks.... it's a hotel for everyone who want fun round the pool and chill ... I can not wright about the food has we only have breakfast and dinner off the bar menu that we love has we can stay round pool... or stay at the beach. . Most off the staff speak English and are always happy to help..

No room for fun

The hotel were very anti fun! We stayed here for my hen do. First the email confirmation wasn't the normal one as we booked through teletext so even though she had all our details on her system didn't know if we could stay.

Then we went and got a cocktail and went out to the pool were we were told off for being loud this was at 4pm and we were not drunk or rowdy just talking over the jets of the jacuzzi.

Our air con was broken and they would not allow us to swap rooms. The hotel staff were very unwelcoming and we felt we could not relax and have a drink there and the food was terrible so although we had half board we ate out for our entire stay.

The only good thing was the shower pressure and one gentleman on reception. If you want to go to a hotel where you are just having a quiet weekend then I'm sure it'll be fine.

Friends or couples wanting to have fun and and drinks in the hotel or pool this is not a place for you. We are not a crazy bunch being loud or rowdy and not at any point were we a drunken nuisance but they made us feel that way after a 5 hour journey literally having only one drink and was this way through out our stay. They complained several times about us usually at like 4-6 pm not late at night it was a big disappointment but we went and spent our money else where and only went back to sleep in our stupidly hot room as we had no air con.

Good for price.

This hotel is a budget hotel. Very close to the beach so perfect for anyone who doesn't have easy accessibility to things, the hotel also has lifts. Its about a 5 minute walk to the beach probably less.
Breakfast was basic but there was always lot of food.
Rooms were clean and they always changed our towels and made the beds everyday, the cleaners were lovely.
Staff were friendly and helped me when I lost my bathing towel in the hotel area.
One thing which is disappointing is the lower pool is always in the shade due to other hotels that have been built (i'm guessing) after this one, so the pool was always freezing. The upper pool on the next floor was warm and always in the sun but a lot smaller so not great for kids. There was a hottub also but that was always filled with kids and i do think that should be adult only. The upper pool however is up steep stairs so won't be accessible for wheelchairs with ease. But there is lots of seating around the pool and hottub area with lots of Sun. The hotel also has a games room and lovely gardens next to the downstairs pool. Great for photos. Very peaceful too.
This hotel is near lots of restaurants some were very nice others not. About a 40 minute walk from the old town but as a young family this was a nice walk along the beach to the old town so very much worth it. A great location for a hotel and good price.

My friend & I had a lovely 11 day holiday at the Boixmar, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was very good and plenty of it, rooms were very clean, fresh towels daily, as well as being cleaned daily,
The bar staff in the evening were good fun, cocktails were lovely.

The pools were very nice, clean,plenty of beds.

Beach was a few minutes away.

Would definitely go back again.

Nice midweek break

traveled on a monday to a friday, had fantastic weather, lovely room,breakfast mainly based on continental food (no full english ?) but evening meal was very good,with plenty of choice, staff very helpful. Pool area very good (beware the cold water in one ??)plenty of shops,brilliant clean beach. Blanes main town very nice. BEWARE transfer via mountain road !!. overall a nice break. would i return ? YES.
