A wonderful place to stay

Having visited Rome previously I wanted to stay in Trasteverte and this property came up in a search and it looked very nice on the web site. In reality it was brilliant and just what I wanted.
I had a studio apartment, my delight when I walked through the door after a stress filled day of travelling up from Naples was enough to wipe all of the days experience away. I wish now that I had based myself in Rome at this place this time rather than Naples initially and just took the high speed train down to Naples to view Heeerculaneum and Pompeii and spent the rest of my time in Rome exploring its many wonders.
The rooms are large and comfortable and modern. I had a Lounge/kitchen/diner a large bathroom and a lovely sized bedroom, all modern.
It is situated just off the via Trasteverte, bus 170 take 5 minutes in the centre of Rome. Piramide is 20 minute walk away for train to Ostia and metro and it takes about an hour to walk into town.
The property is very secure and the staff very helpful, all in all a great place to stay.

We were in Trastevere/Rome for 4 days, and were very pleased about our stay. Our room was flawless, clean and had very nice facillities as a refrigerator, a little kitchen, a big bathroom and a nice terrace. The staff was incredibly nice, kind and really helpful. Always smiling and welcoming. They would go a long way to recommend us places to go and how to get there smartest as possible. We asked for a restaurant and bars for young people and we got 8 suggestions. All of the recommendations that we tried were really spot on 👍🏼 We will definitely be back at Borgo Papareschi!

Relaxing and very comfortable

We stayed here for a week in October. It was so quiet and peaceful. I loved the garden outside our apartment. The apartment was very clean and tidy and it was great to get our linen changed twice during our stay.
The local shops were a 5 minute walk away. The road was very busy but you couldn't hear any noise in our apartment. There were lots of great shops, cafes, restaurants. It was easy to get the bus in to the centre of Rome. It only took about 20 minutes and they come very frequently. Not many people in this area speak a lot of English so it's helpful to know some basic Italian. In the city centre of Rome English is more widely spoken.
The staff were fantastic. Mario greeted us upon our arrival and was very helpful. He gave us a map and answered all our questions. All the other staff were also very courteous and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay. The only downside was a few mozzie bites, the heated towel rack wasn't working and there wasn't a microwave.
Otherwise it was an excellent location for exploring Rome and very good value for money.
We will definitely be coming back when we next visit Rome.

Quiet handy location

Located about 1km from Trastevere Station, which is on the airport line (not the express train), and in a quiet location, Borgo Papareschi is an ideal small group of apartments. Trams at the station run through to the center of Rome and the bubbling restro area of Trastevere. Spacious units are fairly well appointed for longer stays.

My only qualm about Borgo Papareschi was that the photos I saw when booking my room were nothing like the apartment we were assigned. Yes, the accommodation was clean and pretty, but I had kind of expected the four poster bed and balcony I saw in the photos, and of course, that didn't happen. So don't book based on this, or at least, phone first and ask if the room in the photo is available (if indeed it exists!).

Having said that, the whole experience was excellent value for money. The apartments are all clustered together in a sort of touristy housing village. The thick stone walls make them cool in the summer and there is also very efficient AC (which I actually had to turn off despite the 38° heat outside).

We did have an outside area to our apartment, but it was a common area shared with all the other back doors, so not really comfortable enough to relax in. Also, take a mosquito repellent, because the area is full of trees and bites can be a problem.

For Rome, I found these apartments to be very reasonably priced and clean. An excellent solution for those wishing to stay in Trastevere at a good price.
