A great hotel in a great destination
billneerhemon 15/02/2017 19:00The Botterweck is the ideal place to stay in Valkenburg, family run and very friendly, no task is too small or large for their great staff. It is just a few feet from the main street, and the Christmas parade goes right past its doors.

shandyliverpoolon 28/12/2016 16:11We have visited this hotel over several years, Hotel is lovely and the service and breakfast good. This year we booked an apartment with the hotel. All i can say is
that the quality of the apartments, does not compare to the lovely hotel rooms. They
are quite dull and need upgrading especially apartment 3, which we declined. we did
however accept another apartment. We do love this hotel as we have fond times to
remember with our parents staying to attend the xmas markets. Just had to say that
we were disappointed in the apartments.

Touhidul Ion 08/07/2016 09:33Its a cheaper option in a cozy tourist place..Service is not good at all. Though its very near to the Train Station but their Service and food is not that much good. You have to try their Jelaato Ice Cream. This is only things that is good in this hotel.

NLxpaton 02/11/2015 19:58Family hotel located in car-restricted center of town. Unless a very recent gps-system (our rental car system didn't have that new) one will end up in "dead ends" due to some street blocking exercises by city council. Nearby parking on Walramplein (free of charge after 8 pm till 8 pm (1 am sunday) from where it's 2-300 m walk to hotel entrance. Hotel has day tickets for parking if one doesn't leave town during daytime. Breakfast is well stocked. Room was clean; somewhat small (and had low ceiling) but as only needed for sleeping OK. Bathroom (ours had shower only) was clean . Shower temperature controlled warm water worked well. Our room had nice view onto square where also tourist office located. Despite its location was quiet most of night (just had a group of youth well after mid-night loudly going home) . Our room had no airco other than open/close window. Heating worked properly.
Late check-in as well as check-out was smoothly dealt with. Friendly service where grandma still keeps herself busy too.
No frills hotel

The downside right now is the building work right outside the hotel and the workmen started work at 6.15am - not pleasant when you are on holiday!
The breakfast was good - typically Dutch food choices and the lady serving had a great character (friendly).
The car park is 5 minutes walk away - reception provide a key to gain access to the area.
There is wifi but we did not manage to access via the code provided in the room's nformation folder.
