Best pillows ever

Stayed one night on a tour of Switzerland, and the Italian Alps and we were very impressed. The Hotel is very clean and comfortable with a very good breakfast. The beds and especially the pillows were fantastic.
The views from the dining room over the valley is fabulous.
All in all a great place to stay.....

What a fabulous, friendly hotel. The only reason I dropped a star is because the cleaning staff were rather sulky, even forgetting to give us new toilet rolls two days running and forgetting some towels. However, the rest of the staff made up for it - so friendly, especially the new Polish waitress, who was learning all about Reception while we were there. I'm sure she will be a great asset to the hotel.
The meals were all lovely, we were on half board, and there was free tea and cake in the lobby every afternoon, although we preferred to be on our balcony, and who wouldn't, with that amazing view of the valley, with the spectacular waterfall in the distance.
A special thanks to all the farmers of this valley, who provided us with so much interesting entertainment from our viewpoint, with their constant scurrying about getting their hay and silage in. They work so hard. It was amazing to see the preparations for walking 500 cows up to a plateau above the waterfall. We visited the evening before to see all the calves being sent up the mountain in their own little cable car!
A highly recommended hotel, and a great centre for walkers and hikers, especially as the hotel gives you a card that gives free transport on all the many cable cars and buses. Adelboden is a lovely, quiet town, with just the right amount of shops so that you are not overwhelmed
A perfect stay, we hope to return soon.

With a valley view room you are in heaven. Such a breathtaking beautiful vistas...its dream come true... Its being in heaven. A beautiful hotel with wooden construction, wonderful warm swiss hospitality....a warm cozy lobby and awesome rooms

We stayed as a party of four for four nights on a half board option. The five course dinner (with a choice) was nicely presented and delicious The cheeseboard was excellent with a large variety - if you had any room left after the previous four courses!

Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of pretty much anything you could possibly want to set you up for a day on the slopes. And there's even tea and cakes on your return 😊

The staff were attentive and smartly dressed in traditional clothing and there's a driver to take you to the slopes, although we found the short walk to the lifts to be perfectly acceptable.

We didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on them.

Our rooms overlooked the (not busy) main road on the first and second floors, so no mountain views for us, but nevertheless, all was very nice indeed.

Character and atmosphere

This hotel is our family's favourite! It has real alpine village character which is nicely reflected in overall decoration, in food and in service. The staff is very friendly and the traditional theme dinners e.g. raclette or fondue in candle light adds to the pleasant atmosphere. The quality of the food is excellent. The breakfast is delicious and exactly what you need before heading to the slopes. Afternoon tea in the lobby area and garden sauna are additional bonuses. There is even a gym if you do not get enough exercise in the slopes. Absolutely wonderful place for a relaxing holiday.
