What People are saying

Good hotel

Really hotel is nice and service so friendly. Really breakfast is very good and rooms are very well. My only concern is related to price if it. Probably this place is expensive for where it is located and additional services provided

Outstanding hotel in a beautiful location

Stayed here for 3 nights / 4 days whilst I was taking part in delivering a course to a number of our worldwide colleagues.

The Hotel is situated in the village of Aying which is about 25Km south east of Munich. The village is relatively small, some modern parts but a central core which is made up of small streets of quite charming traditional German houses.

I checked in around 1.30pm, the lady on check in was very friendly, polite and efficient and my room was ready.

The hotel is almost a centrepiece for the village. I walked there (just over 10 min) from the S-Bahn station and was guided in by not just the signs to the hotel but the huge blue and white maypole towering over the building and the village. The hotel and its facilities are spread amongst a number of buildings, some of which are the buildings of the old brewery, the new brewery having moved to the edge of the village some time ago. Accommodation is in the main hotel building and another annexe 20 yards away - both buildings are charming and traditional with tasteful modern twists and are, as you may imagine, immaculately maintained. Conference and business facilities are spread around the range of buildings in the immediate surrounding area.

I had a single room on the 2nd floor. Compact but not tiny, traditional and stylish, comfortable. well maintained and immaculately clean. I'm used to seeing free bottled water in a hotel room, however, in this place, being owned by the family which also owns the local brewery, you also get a free bottle of beer - outstanding !

If there is any minor downside to the hotel, Germany (which may come as a surprise to those who haven't been before) can get seriously warm in the late spring through early autumn (not a day under 26 deg C and not a night below 15 deg C while I was there) and there was no aircon. This made the conference facilities a little warm at times and a comfortable night's sleep necessitated both windows in the room being wide open. That said, the bed was very comfortable and I slept soundly on each night (possibly aided by my quest to try at least one of each of the local brewery's wide range of excellent beers).

In the morning, the shower had enough power to nearly flatten me against the wall which makes a pleasant change from some of those under which you have to run around to get wet.

Conference facilities were very good indeed, including the free wifi which had both a strong signal and was blazingly fast.

Breakfast is continental - wide range of fruits, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, fish etc and the waiters will happily bring you eggs (the devil's food!) cooked any way you like.

Lunch and evening meals, whether taken in the hotel restaurant or the biergarten opposite, were outstanding. High quality traditional German food (and other cuisines as well) excellently cooked and presented. Testament to the quality of the restaurant is that every lunchtime and evening the village becomes a hive of activity with people descending upon it from miles around to eat and drink at the hotel or the Biergarten.

Service throughout was very good indeed whether at mealtimes or with regard to replenishing supplies / coffee etc in the conference facilities. Staff, without exception, were polite, friendly, efficient and immaculately presented.

Often, business travel is a chore, however, this is one location at which I genuinely hope I am asked to turn up and deliver another training course.

Genuinely one of the few hotels I have been to on business which I have enjoyed and would happily return to as a tourist.

When you're in the mood for a romantic summer evening with superb food in a beautiful restaurant garden, go and have dinner at Brauereigasthof Aying. You will for sure not be disappointed. Excellent regional cuisine with a Mediterranean touch, all prepared to perfection. And the beer is great there too

Very nice place and outstanding food!

Recommendable for frieds, families and also just to drink a beer outside in the sun. Nice place, we'll be back.
Ask for Fabio, the waiter, nice guy.

Came for a wedding, had amazing dinner in a really nice setting, had a great private brewing tour of the Ayinger Brewery, tasted very good beer. Over all a great experience, beautiful rooms and great friendly staff. Very recommended place to stay to experience the Voralpen region in a nice village.
