What People are saying

Wedding Anniversary

Danielle Susan Eon 27/05/2017 10:18

We got married here at Breadsall three years ago and it was fantastic. We decided to come and have dinner here on Thursday for our 3rd anniversary. Raul was incredible, he made our dinner experience perfect. Excellent service, beautiful food and extremely accommodating. Breadsall did not let us down on our wedding or on Thursday. Thank you Raul for making it a very special evening.

Wonderful stay

This was an amazing, comfortable, relaxing place to stay. We stayed for my wife's birthday and, after a dreadful road trip to reach the hotel, we were warmly greeted at reception with a glass of wine each and a box of chocolates for my wife. We received clear, helpful directions to our room, avoiding many of the stairs and our room was delightful with views over the magnificent garden. We ate in the Tempo bar where the chef prepared a special birthday pudding. The bed was very comfortable and we were so relaxed we extended our stay for another night and even though the hotel systems were down the stay. Was extended in the same room at the same rate. Breakfasts were excellent and we didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day. Housekeeping was first rate and they left a small birthday gift for my wife.

Everyone was so helpful and polite and they have taken on board the customer service ethic. The hotel is full of history and is sympathetically maintained. We would most certainly stay there again.

Nice stay for family sightseeing

Booked a stay on my Marriot points, being a platinum member. Brought my dad back to Derby to see where he grew up 70 years ago. Staff were helpful and nice, although we were in the back of the hotel so didn't see them much. Ate at the club restaurant as it was closest and staff there were lovely and helpful for breakfast and dinner both days. Seems like a lot of the community use the pool and facilities, which was nice to see. Grounds seemed lovely, rooms were a little tired, but clean.

Relaxing Weekend

We booked through booking.com a superior room with a view. The room was very nice (little tired in places) and comfortable. We were in the mews and our view was of the court yard. The hotel itself again was very nice and the staff were very friendly we ate in the Tempo Bar and the food was very good. We had paid for breakfast when we booked but when we came to check out found that we had been charged again, but this was swiftly sorted by the reception desk. All in all a very good relaxing weekend.

Beautiful Grounds and Hotel

We arrived early and were allowed to use the swimming pool and spa immediately. The pool was a lovely temperature and the steam room, jacuzzi and sauna very clean and efficient. The seating around the pool was not very relaxing and there were only 3 loungers available (all of which had a towel reserving them and no-one using them)! The only downside to the leisure centre was the staining on the ceilings, which was very unsightly. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We checked in at 4pm and walked for four minutes to get to our room. The room was pleasant enough - no better than a Travelodge. Unfortunately our view was of the car park.

Went for a glass of wine in the bar and was a little disappointed by the small selection and the Malbec being a screw-top. Beautiful bar areas and the views were stunning.

The grounds and golf course are truly beautiful, including a nature trail and a couple of walks around the land.

Dinner was excellent and the service very good too. In particular, the cheese course was plentiful and varied. Same limited wine menu, but had a nice Rioja with the main and port with the cheese.

I would definitely go back, so would recommend.
