Great place - we stayed here for the third time. Great food, very friendly and kind staff, good wellness area. Two nice "open" saunas with a great view on the valley.
My recommendation: book a suite in the new building with panorama view on the valley. so peaceful!

Excellent sunny stay in a beautiful area

We got the opportunity to stay at Breggers Schwanen for 3 nights (thank you free dreams :-)) and were very fortunate to have beautiful summer extension.
The area is beautiful and full of great outdoors opportunities. In our case, we enjoy the Schluchsee to stand up paddle every day. Many opportunities to park and access the waters.
The hotel is super clean (rooms are exceptionally clean!), nice decorated (got a landhaus room with the view on the field).
The 2 rooms for meals are nice, one very traditional but still nice, and the brand new one as well as the bar area are very clear and have beautiful views.
The meals were very nice and fresh and quite varied.
Wellness area is amazing, vast for that sized hotel. It has 2 saunas (90° and 60°) and a steam room. Pool is really small though.
Different showers and resting room, including a very nice deck are super nice to rest and relax.
The staff is super nice!
Antonio and the young lady in the vesper room are specially smily and helpful :-)
Thank you so much for making our stay so conformable and feeling so welcome :-)

We have two wishes: a french bed instead of 2 mattresses (although very good and the 2 mattresses stay together, it is already good ;-)) and a water cooker in the room would be really needed in a 4 stars hotel.

Perfect quiet in wonderful nature landscape

You have the choice between a traditional (in the original Hotel) or a new room (in the new annexe). We stayed in the traditional house and the room was nice, big with terrace.
It's not anymore very new but clean and friendly. If you like a big silence, that is the right place; but consider the prices. They are rather high. The surroundings are beautiful, much green and very good possibilities for hiking. You are in the Black Forest region.
Wifi is not excellent in the rooms!

A nice weekend with friends - excellent wine

We spent a weekend together with our friend in Breggers Schwanen. We had room 109. The room is nice and the bathroom as well. Even if room is towards the street it is mostly quite. As I'm not a big SPA fan I can only comment about the pool. The temperature of the water was fine, the lenght ok - but for a keen swimmer to short.
We enjoyed twice dinner in the Schwanen. The quality was very good and the service very friendly. The waiter was very knowledgable about the wine list and he was a fun chap. There was litle room for improvement. The made a large table for us, but not all table had the same height (1 - 2 cm). The plastic cooler about a nice bootle of wine looked a little cheap, I would prefer a ice bucket. The breakfast is of good qualiy and choice.
And don't forget the nice Schwarzwald area. It is really nice to hike in that area.

Comfortable rooms and great food

I can only reiterate the offer excellent reviews. This is a perfect location for hiking and getting away from it all, and the food, rooms and warm hosting are just what is required to relax afterwards. We visited with foodie relatives, and they were very impressed by the food provided, particularly on the gala dinner.

It would be nice if the rooms could be made darker with thicker curtains, but that minor quibble didn't detract from our stay.
