I stayed there two nights and unfortunately had no other option, because I was on a package tour.
The hotel is somewhere at the Agadir's outskirts. It's extremly far away from everything: beach, city center, city center, harbor, ... ok, with one exception: large store is quite near ;)
The rooms are spacious, very sipmle and clean but not in the best condition. I guess it's a very low budget option.
I don't recomend the hotel
the hotel was not as advertised it was at least a 1hr walk to the city centre so we had to get taxis everywhere the staff were friendly but very slow at doing anything.for five days there was no hot water in on our floor so we had to use a room two floors down for a shower the breakfasts were terrible no butter for two days and only a hard boiled egg and jam with very hard crusty bread complaints were met with a shrug.
The hotel was clean and basic. Its not far from beach and marjana supermarket. Be careful of the reception staff as they are over friendly and will try and rip you off at any chance they get. The man tried to charge us £10 for a two minute call to England. Also taxi to Agadir airport is 170 dirhams but staff tried to charge us 200 dirhams.
Lastly, BUFFET breakfast was advertised but not given.
Well what can I say, at first sight it all looks like a good value for money to stay if you are looking for a cheap last minute get away in the sun BUT as the old saying goes "looks can be deceiving" We booked 7 days half board in middle of March and the main issues with the hotel was as follows
1.We only had hot water to bath/shower with for 1 hour per day as they only but the boiler on from 5pm to 6pm. The hotel was freezing all day and the heating was never on for either breakfast or lunch we had to wear our coats we travelled in all week when TRYING to eat as this brings me on to my 2nd point
2. The food well this was the worst issue not only were we told when we bath/shower we had no buffet style dining it was just 1 choice of either dinner or breakfast that they bothered to cook and I use that term loosley.they did not even ask if we had any dietry requested or needs you just got given a plate with for most part we had no clue what it was and was 85% of the time cold. The waiters never actually told us what we were ment to be eating and at 1 point when it was clear we did not like the food actually told use the food was very very poor. The only chioce we had for desert every day was a bannna or an orange. We had to go to the local supermarket and buy cearal for beakfast and other food it put in our fridge in the room so we actaully eat. I have been all around the world and experienced good and bad hotels but I have never ever been to a hotel that you had to eat what ever was brought to you on the plate with NO choice whats so ever you eat or starve!! You were only allowed 1 cup of tea or coffee at breakfast and after spending 10 mins trying to get across that we wanted our milk seperate from our coffee so we can add the amount of milk we wanted the coffee always went cold and YES this was every day they never either learnt or remembered what are requirments were and there was only 4 other couples in the whole hotel!! now I am no snop or expect to much from a cheap holiday and I have never written a reveiw at all but I feel so strongly that other britsh people dont suffer what we had to tollerate I had to say something please please please spend that extra £100 and go to a different hotel its really not worth it you will spend more in resterants or supermarkets
I've often been in Agadir and it is still a beautiful city.
We stayed with family in Hotel Riad Karam.
Beautiful hotel, good service and delicious food.
