Arrived in a very cold room with mold on the walls, when we asked them to do something about it they didn’t really care. Later on, a manager came in (using his key without knocking), explained that there is nothing to be done, but encouraged us to warm up the bathroom using the hairdryer.....
Since there was no mini bar we went downstairs to ask for a soda of sorts, and they gave us a glass of coke (coming from an already opened bottle) and charged us 3,5€.
On top of all this, the management made kind of inappropriate comments to my boyfriend about our plans for the night.
Please avoid booking a hotel there!

...because of noisy neighbors in the adjacent room. At night, they played their TV til late, and in the morning they were in a bad mood, broadcasting their displeasure with each other through the paper-thin walls.
The hotel appears to date from the 1970's, and the rooms, while certainly a few cuts above hostel quality, are not exactly models of gracious living. It's rated three stars, but because of the somewhat shoddy construction, it's more like a two in my experience.

don't be misled, Brit has nothing to do with being British!
The place is reasonably priced but the 2 men running it are disagreeable
and warning for families - that dog bites - not acceptable for my 3 and 5
year old grandchildren, and I am a dog lover and owner and don't sit on the
settees unless you want to be covered in dog hairs.
Room are just ok, old but have the basics , and for extras you can listen to
the next room snoring.
Breakfast was ok but not extravagant. First night asked for 2 drinks , was told
by the owner he was 'occupied'. Didn't eat the overpriced , l choice dinner and
neither did many others, only 4 unfortunates in the restaurant . 5 minutes walk
to the village which is beautifull and illuminated with regional restaurants.

Couldn't quite make out this place! On the edge of the lovely village of Besse, this strangely decorated - lots of ornaments and plants - hotel is trying to be something but I'm not sure what. It tries to be user friendly with a games room and a children's room, but then you go to the Bar and there's no-one serving. Lots of stairs everywhere so no use for the disabled. Our room was adequate (badly decorated - made me feel my own attempts weren't so bad after all). The bathroom was small with one firmly secured soap dispenser over the wash basin which wasn't much help when you wanted a shower. I took my own soap into the shower but there was nowhere to put it. The food was quite good, but the buffet breakfast serving area was small so queues developed. Most of the fellow travellers on my trip were upset that the hotel dog was allowed into the dining room while we were eating. Staff were friendly but with limited English and not many of them. They really need to try harder!

This is NOT a 3 star hotel. Rooms need refurbishing - doors don't lock, no smoke alarms, no bedside lights, dirty carpet, no air-con, but bathroom is okay though rather a tight squeeze. Food is peasant style - chicken gizzards, perch with apple, celery and onion - yuk, no vegetables as such, no fresh fruit though we did have a strawberry one night. Be prepared for the owner/manager shouting in a Basil Fawltey manner and his biting dog which lays around reception.
