Comfortable tourist hotel in a nice area of Lima

I stayed here for 2 nights at the start of my holiday to Peru, and it was nice and comfortable to ease me in. It lives up to its 3 start rating, was very clean and has all of the necessary amenities. The reception staff spoke English but the restaurant staff not so much.

It's located in the Miraflores area of Lima which is a very nice and upmarket area, where I'm told the crime is lower compared to the rest of the city (though I didn't have any problems anywhere). There are restaurants and shops nearby, and the airport bus goes right past. Getting into the centre of town is quite easy though it looks far away, the metro bus stop is about a 10 minute walk away and it's around 20 minutes to the centre from there. The metro buses have dedicated traffic lanes so aren't affected by Lima's horrendous traffic. It will cost £2-3. If I'm honest you don't need much more than a day to do the touristy stuff in Lima.

The breakfast was good and interesting at the same time - breads, jams, fruit etc., with added Peruvian sweet things. The hot food was the interesting part, the offerings would seem more at home in a Chinese buffet!

Overall a nice hotel which is comfortable and adequate for a couple of nights in Lima which won't break the bank.

It depends on your needs

We stayed here on three separate nights during our time in Peru.
It met our needs for a bed overnight and easy access to the centre of the Miraflores district.
The rooms were adequate and clean.
The breakfasts were indifferent.
The noise was not as much a problem as some reviewers have experienced.
If we had been staying for a longer period we might have had higher unfulfilled expectations for the hotel.

Nice hotel, nothing spectacular

The hotel has clean and nice rooms, not too big, but sufficient.
Nice breakfest buffet, and at walking distance of the costline.
In the immediate surroudings you will find, banks & ATM also Starbucks & Mc Donalds.
Miraflores is one of the nicer parts of Lima

Modern convenient hotel

The hotel is modern. Our bedroom had very efficient air conditioning, cooling the air down quickly. Our friends' air conditioning, however, did not work. There was noise from the road outside, but we still slept well. Breakfast was good and, when we had an early start, they provided one in a bag.
Our one niggle was that there was a notice by a bottle of mineral water in our bedroom stating that it was at a special price - just a little over half the normal price. We drank a bottle from the fridge. Then, at check out, we were told that the special offer did not apply to the identical bottle of water in the fridge! It seemed so senseless to cause annoyance for a matter of such a small sum of money.

Small Rooms with Few Amenities

Aside from having a good location, the hotel offers little more! We stayed in a corner room which was very small and the beds are standard size. The noise from the street filters easily through the walls and windows. The breakfast was acceptable but lacked variety.
