What People are saying

Great

Paul Eon 20/08/2017 21:36

Called in today and what a great reception. From arrival to departure.
Must compliment every today for making us so welcome. The Sunday lunch was great, superbly cooked and just the right size. The vegetarian lasagne was 1st class.
The little extra touch of a free portion of ice cream for our 3 year old means so much.
Full marks to you all and I recommend this inn to everyone, we will be back soon.
Thank you 😊

A fantastic place to eat

Our group of four were on a road trip when we decided to stop here for lunch.

There was plenty of car parking outside this wonderful old building.

The menu was extensive and locally produced meat / vegetables are used.

Service was quick and friendly.

The portions were large and proved to be great value for money.

Each member of our group was quiet whilst they savoured an excellent meal.

I highly recommend this amazing place.

Olde world architecture mixed with wonderful home made food.

It is a winning combination.

Great overnight stay

We received a great welcome by very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was nicely furnished and clean and bright, we had a great view across the valley. We enjoyed very good food in the restaurant, great choices and very generous portions.

I have to say though, that the breakfast was probably the best that I have had in a very long time, again, generous portions, superbly cooked and excellent quality!

A great stay, highly recommend, and hopefully a return visit soon.

Great place to stay

Four of us stayed for four nights and couldn't have got better. Breakfast was first class and decided to eat at the Inn every night as food was reasonably priced and first class. Accommodation was good and beds comfortable. Landlady was very friendly.

lovely Hotel, Lovely Views

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife. Check in was quick and simple. The room was very nice, with a lovely view from the window down the valley. The hotel is 10 minutes drive from Llangollen, or about 45 mins walk. There are many lovely walks from this hotel, and the horseshoe falls are very nearby.
The hotel is quite old and one should bear this in mind re the rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room had an ensuite bath, but no shower, but was not detrimental to our stay. Breakfast was very good no filling. The hotel serves food, but beware it gets very busy especially on Sunday.
We slept very well both nights, the bed was very comfortable, and plenty of drawers and wardrobe space in the room.
Worth the stay, would consider staying here again.
