Nice place, small room
Woodward63on 15/08/2017 17:12We stayed here for 2 nights. Even though the room was small the friendly service more than made up for the defect. The manager made us feel welcome and the breakfast was excellent. The location is quite central to all the attractions. Overall a positive experience.
A lovely weekend stay
JacBikeron 08/08/2017 23:36This is a really good B&B with pretty rooms and comfy beds, they are very welcoming, serve great breakfasts, the kind where you won't need a lunch! It has on site parking and is only minutes from the beautiful village centre,
Still a first class stay
RaymondTattonon 07/08/2017 21:41First class place to stay. Very friendly with a great position in the village . Staff can't do enough for you. Breakfast is top class. We stayed in the Broadlands Suite which was great value -however note there are two flights of stairs.

Cotswolds Cute & Close to Town
rkheinigon 29/07/2017 12:59OK, so if you were expecting a 5 star Four Seasons experience here in the Cotswolds, you will be disappointed. However, let's bear in mind that you are staying in a village that is over 300 years old and you need to be realistic about your expectations.
The Broadlands is more like a Bed and Breakfast not like a hotel. Rooms are available in the main house and the stable area has been converted into several rooms as well.
Parking is tight, but free and adequate. The photos of the rooms and property are very accurate. Be aware that your room may be on the second floor, (no lift) so if you don't want to carry bags upstairs, ask for a ground floor room. Our room was huge, but on the second floor of the stable area with steep stairs, so not ideal for us older travelers.
There is no air conditioning, but even though we were here in late July, we could open our windows and it let in some nice cool air. Hot weather would be a challenge.
The location of the Broadlands is within a short walk from the busy village area, so loved that. Lots of places to eat and shop. Make dinner reservations or you will end up eating at the local tavern, about the only place in the village that doesn't accept reservations.
The breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from, and delicious. Because this is a small place, breakfast is served between 8 and 9 AM.
The rooms were clean and bedding was nice. Water pressure could be better (a restricted shower head would help) , but I found a bath worked better than trying to use the hand held shower.
Great internet and flat screen TV with lots of programming.
I would stay here again.
