What People are saying

Poor

Tracey Ton 03/06/2017 15:58

Booked bungalow we were very disappointed with the cleanliness. Had to clean bath before using it, cutlery tray and drawers dirty, sink needed cleaning, cobwebs behind living room chair. Paint tin's in kitchen cupboard's along with other bits and pieces eg solution for eye contact lens's. Window ledges and frames dirty, dishwasher full of dishes, having to start emptying dishwasher as soon as we got there is not my idea of a relaxing stay. Having used bath, late evening, we discovered that the bath leaked and had gone into the bedroom next door and had soaked the carpet and was seeping up the bedding of the bed. Upon telling the owner in the morning we were told that they already knew about it but had not had time to fix it. We should have been told of this problem instead they kept quiet about it. So in conclusion we spent hard earned money to stay in a soggy bedroom with a bath that was unusable and had to start cleaning the bungalow before using it!!!!

Home from home

I booked the holiday cottage for my family, the cottage is literally like a home from home, it has everything you could need! It was so cosy and made our stay with 2 young children and a baby nice and easy! Amanda was incredibly helpful, she even provided toys for the kids to play with! One evening we ordered a takeaway and the takeaway's card machine wasn't working so Amanda put it on her account and we paid her for the food, which saved us a trip to the town to get some money.

The location of the property is perfect also, it's got beautiful views but also isn't far from Gretna (where we were attending a wedding) but there is also a large tesco a 15 minute drive away which is useful.
Overall our stay was perfect and we plan to return in the near future.

Stunning location

We stayed one night because we were just visiting, the cottage and surroundings are absolutely fantastic, the owners were really nice and very helpful nothing was too much trouble they even brought us our breakfast across to the bungalow which was lovely by the way the dining table converts into a pool table and golf straight outside ure door. We are already planning to come back we would like more than one night next time brilliant location.

Lovely :)

We stayed here overnight on Saturday 8th. A lovely B&B with stunning views,a great location. Our room was a double and very nice comfortable with plenty of space. The decor was tastefully done too. The owners are really lovely people and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was great. We were attending a wedding at 2pm the day we arrived at a nearby venue and they made sure the room was ready for us on arrival for an early check in. We booked a taxi to the venue, however after waiting for half an hour the taxi did not show up, as you can imagine I was very upset at this point and the owner offered to take us to the wedding in his own car! We are so very grateful to him for going above and beyond. The next morning we went for breakfast which was amazing and freshly cooked, breakfast was served in the kitchen, which was lovely and homely and the lady of the house was full of friendly chat. I can highly recommend this B&B, what a wonderful place and wonderful people. Thank you so much to both of you! Angela & Graeme
