What People are saying

Nice place

Niels Dahl Pon 21/07/2017 02:05

We drove through the village and decided to stop at the inn.
We were met by friendly staff and on request we were allowed to sit in the garden , where there is a view over the stream (Odense å ) .
We had a quick meal there.
Craft beers are available there from Midfyns Brewery , local in the village.
The beers available there are similar as the beers available in Pitlochry , Petshire at Molin Hotel brewery.
Nice beers not industry product.

We visited this place today.
We had seating in the garden , nice place , with a nice view over the creek .
Nice welcome by the staff.
The food served on this ordinary Tuesday was nice.
There is a possibility to get some great craft beer here same style as made in Pitlochry Perthshire Scotland at Moulin Hotel great beers.

Surprisingly Delightful

Stayed for two nights and have to say that I was positively surprised about everything you expect from a hotel. Excellent room, location, crew and everything at a very reasonable price. I plan to visit Denmark frequently and this hotel is always going to be my first priority.

A very tranquil traditional Inn, warm and welcoming

Chris_Barnes2014on 12/06/2014 22:02

I have stayed at this in on many occasions. There is always a warm welcome, and very good food. The rooms are spacious and well presented. The Inn is situated in the heart of Funnen in a rural setting with a river running beside. This is an ideal central base to explore the many delights that this "Garden Isle of Funnen" has to offer. Recommended for both business and holidays. Very suitable for a quite break with or without the children. This Inn is at centre of the local community. Will be my hotel of choice when I return to Denmark.

Great setting; not such a great room

We traveled to Denmark was part of a 17 day trip all over Denmark, Germany, and Austria. After staying in 11 fabulous hotels, we were disappointed by this one. The setting is absolutely beautiful on a picturesque creek in a quiet Danish village. We enjoyed taking a walk through the town including the little market and the old water mill. Our room, however, was another story. Although they made a good effort to make the room clean, the creepy crawlers were everywhere (spiders). The room also lacked very basic hotel amenities including soap, tissues, and even cups for water (though it did have a hair dryer). We slept comfortably enough though we were glad to leave the next day. (Little did we know that our next hotel would be even worse and make us miss this place which is why I gave them a 3/5 instead of lower). We ate dinner in their restaurant the night we checked in, however, and that was absolutely delicious. We had a hard time telling the difference between Danish food and German food since it all seemed like sausage and schnitzel with potatoes, but it was very good even though it was pricey. (At least they didn't charge us for table water which was a refreshing change from German restaurants.) Still, we would probably not stay there again. We don't consider ourselves city folks, but we like to keep the bugs on the outside.
