great place to stay
Wavertreeboyon 09/08/2017 09:11Just booked this hotel as all hotels seeem to be booked due to gloriuos goodwood.
What a great little find. walking distance to the sea[estuary] nice pubs and restaurants and a lovely feel to the village.
The hotel was clean the staff very efficient and friendly and the breakfast was v good.
We couldn't really fault anything ,we had a nice room that was very comfertable and lots to do in the surrounding area.
Will definately go back on our next visit to Goodwood

angelapT8726OGon 09/08/2017 08:37Staff very helpful & friendly. Room was clean & comfy. Nice garden in which to sit. Nice restaurant, very spacious. Didn't feel hurried at all so very relaxing. We had to go fairly last minute for a funeral nearby. We were found a room dinner b & b for a good rate. We found out that the wake was also to take place there. They have several rooms for conferences, weddings etc. What a lovely venue! Plenty of car parking available also. Very important these days. Going back again this weekend. Definatly recommended.

Good hotel, great food
Barbara Pon 03/08/2017 08:52Stayed at this hotel before a trip to Spitbank Fort the next day. The hotel was well located for Portsmouth and Chichester and Emsworth village is close by and is worth a wander. Our room was rather small and warm and, with the window open, we could hear bar noise quite late at night, however once closed this wasn't an issue. The bathroom was lovely, well equipped and big. There is a nice garden for pre dinner drinks and the food in the restaurant was excellent, with good service. We are due to rebook a cancelled sailing trip in the Solent and we will definitely be looking to stay here rather than the hotel we did stay in near Hamble, which was very disappointing.
lovely hotel with great staff

The food was lovely - our package included dinner the first night but it was so good we ate there again on the 2nd night. All the staff were great, really pleasant and helpful and it seemed like a really happy place to work. Our room was really nice, large and very clean and 2 chairs - I hate just having one. We booked this hotel because my husband was booking on a sailing experience in the Solent. when this was cancelled we almost decided not to bother to go but we were very glad we did. We had a lovely time in spite of the disappointment of not being able to sail
