50th Bday dinner
pikake1on 27/06/2017 20:14Fabulous 50th bday dinner at Toys.
Did the early bird 5-6 pre-fixe dinner which came with pupus, main course and dessert. I had the encrusted mac nut swordfish which was delicious and the coconut tart for dessert!
Sake Tinis!!!!!!
Joungar7777on 27/06/2017 17:37Awesome food and service. The sake tini is out of this world and their short ribs main dish a killer. Great view and food presentation. You get what you pay for. Thanks and will be back.
Not really what I expected
btandrmbon 26/06/2017 08:10You know those restaurants that look all fancy, have waiters and staff in collared shirts and ties looking well presented. You know that the food will be OK at least and the servings will be small coz that's what they do here and you pay for less (like lingerie). This is what I was thinking when we ordered the Rib Eye (US$50) and Brussel Sprouts (US$16). Well, when the plates arrived I was pleasantly surprised..the steak was large, very well cooked with carrots, a spinach thing and mushrooms. The Brussel sprouts were plentiful and oh so bad they were delicious. We share our meals due to the larger serving sized in the USA and these two meals with a beer and the desert souffle (US$13) had us both full and very satisfied. For our US$100 we were full, very pleased with the food and the service, we went back again 4 days later and ordered........exactly the same thing, only this time I had a Guiness instead of a Golden Ale beer.
Prices are a little higher than other in the area however you are not stiffed with the serving sizes or quality. My tip if you are going to ROYS, take a jumper or long sleeved top, it gets a bit cool in there...If in the area, give ROYS a try, you wont be disappointed.
Outstanding

Tish Gon 21/06/2017 22:41Excellent swordfish. My daughter had the steak and she could cut it with a fork--so tender and juicy. I think my grandson had the best-- 4 course children menu for $15!
He had quesillas, carrots and watermelon, salmon and rice with green beans and dessert.
