191PBon 15/08/2017 23:06Having visited the Brown Trout on a number of occasions over the years, I was always very impressed with the accommodation, food and staff. I visited a few weeks ago and stayed in a refurbished room. I have to say it's not as good as it used to be..........it's way better and I never thought that could be possible. The room was easily four stars standard, the food was superb and the staff were welcoming and very attentive. It was excellent from check in until check out and was very good value for money. Keep up the good work, well done Brown Trout!
Very good good and rooms
Ben Ron 02/08/2017 18:09We loved our room when we stayed for one night a few weeks ago! The beds were lovely and the room was very very tidy and spacious! Our stay was really for the golf and my only criticism would be the course as it could be kept a little better! Although the food was amazing and we had a great time!! Not to mention how nice and friendly the staff were. We would recommend the brown trout to anyone and would definitely return

BinthereCheshireon 02/08/2017 11:55Very quaint little place. All rooms are on the ground floor and our room was disability friendly. Very spacious room with 2 double beds. Separate bathroom and dressing area. Furniture a little dated but perfectly serviceable. Cosy bar with real fires. Best Guinness my husband had ever tasted. Very friendly staff especially Jane who greeted us. Had dinner which was very good hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. If ever back in this part of the world will definitely go back.

russellhall1on 31/07/2017 12:37All credit goes to Jane and her staff at the Brown Trout, they treat you like one of their own during your the stay. The food was great and the breakfast was enough to last all day.
Rooms are very spacious and very comfortable and with x 2 double beds in the room your more than certain to get a peaceful nights sleep.
The grounds are beautiful for a walk and of course a wee game of golf on the 9 hole course for a bit of interest. You get free WIFI throughout your stay with a simple sign in process, rather than some various code.
Staying at the Brown Trout was a pleasure and you certainly won't be disappointed. Already planning our return when back in the area.

Frank Bon 23/07/2017 09:31Booked a table for four on a busy Saturday night and boy what a fantastic meal we all had. We hadn't eaten here for over twenty years and we will be back asap. Well informed friendly staff, excellent food and great prices.
