A Great property with a Veg Restaurant..
mathewjmaliakalon 15/08/2017 08:29Its a stay in the city but outside every rush.. The South Indian, typically Keralite, vegetarian food and the green ambiance is really memorable. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast.. Will visit the hotel in our next visit to Kochi also.
Beautiful Aesthetics and Good vegetarian food
Smitha Von 14/08/2017 07:52As Kochi is my hometown, there has been no reason for me to stay in a hotel. But when I had a chance, we picked to be in BTH Sarovaram. BTH has been the go to place for dining for vegetarians for decades. However, I had not checked out the accommodation.
The rooms were pleasant, spacious and clean. The design aesthetics are Kerala based and elegant. The bed is comfortable, and the pillows are the best I have found in a hotel so far. The bathrooms are clean. There are no fancy toiletries but that is beside the point. They are small too, but functional.
The complementary breakfast had veg sandwich, dosa, idly and puttu on the day we were there, plus juice and coffee/tea. The spread can be improved upon. Especially because the food at their restaurant Badettu is truly awesome.
The property has a swimming pool, temple etc. The staff is courteous, but don't expect people to wait on you.
Extremely disappointing stay
Thomas Jon 10/08/2017 11:01For the past 10 years, we have happy guests of this hotel. However, this visit will be our last.
The rooms that we were allocated were of poor standard: The plugs were broken and didn't work for our laptops and phones, the fridge was broken and the wifi only works in the reception lobby.
The building also wasn't child friendly. The floor tiles were uneven and easy to trip on, the doors were very heavy and required two hands to open and the extra bed was literally a piece of foam on the floor.
So much for the complementary breakfast... there were only 5 hot options, some of which had run out when we arrived. There was no fruit provided, but the waiters were very attentive.
We were not at all impressed with our stay this time and it's a pity for us to change our loyalty. I'm glad we were only there for 1 night!
I would seriously recommend looking for a different hotel if you are travelling with family.
Traditional South Indian Veg Food & Filter Coffee in Kochi.
PhotographerRGon 03/08/2017 06:25Went their for a diner during my stay in Kochi.Ordered Rawa Masala Dosa.They have a variety of Dosas and South Indian food.Do ask for rasam in starter but its too spicy for people who don't like much masala & pepper.Try filter coffee in desert.
Very good property at a value for money price
Nitin Bon 20/07/2017 14:08This is a gem of a property at a good location in Kochi.The rooms are great along with nice amenities and the garden the pool etc make it look like a resort. Great prices make it totally worthwhile to stay here.
