What People are saying

Old, questionable hotel

jvmadduxon 31/05/2017 21:37

I was in Cassville for a family emergency at the end of March, beginning of April.

The surrounding area of Cassville, near the lakes and forest, have some nice cabins....but, most of those do not have wi-fi, and cell phone service is spotty....so, I had to stay in town.

In the town of Cassville there are two choices for hotels. I first stayed at America's Best Value Inn for a week....that entire hotel wreaked of smoke.

So, I then stayed at the Budget Inn for the next two weeks. The Budget Inn has exterior entrances, so even though they do allow smoking in some rooms....it is not as overpowering as the other motel in town.

The people working there were nice enough.

There were some road crew folks staying there long term, that like to hang outside in the evening having their beers..when it was chilly, they would hang in their trucks with motors running, right outside our door....filling the room with exhaust...and, at night, when they came inside, they were rather loud making it difficult to sleep. Not cool....the owners/workers at the hotel, had to know what was going on....as they were on site! But, they let this happen most nights of the week.

There was also a "lady" that was staying in one of the rooms missing most of her teeth, and dressed only in a t-shirt... that stopped me one morning and asked, "what town am I in"? It is my guess the "lady" was on meth....and, my guess the "lady" was for hire.

My first room choice at the Budget Inn was a "pet friendly" room. It was between two smoking rooms. It smelled like cheap air freshener, stale smoke and wet dog....had several pee spots on the floor....and, the bathroom door was literally falling to pieces.

My second room choice was not a pet friendly room...and, was between two non-smoking rooms....it was a little cleaner....however, without the other strong odors...one could definitely smell mold or mildew.

The decor is 1980's

The facility used to have a pool, which is now filled in with rocks.

This is a very sad and depressing place.

Clean Older Motel

Older clean motel, nice comfortable beds, Friendly staff room has fridge, microwave, good location, was quiet no road noise, we had second floor rooms and the stairs were a bit hard to navigate, will probably not stay here again.

Nice clean little motel. It isn't fancy but staff was very helpful & friendly. Happy they allowed pets. Good value. Had coffee pot, frig, and microwave. Great TV with nice channel selection. Quiet stay.

Fishing weekend

Gypsyfeetx4on 03/05/2016 03:05

We needed an inexpensive place to stay for a weekend fishing trip. We found that at the Budget Inn. It is a no frills, tired, older motel. The wallpaper was peeling in places, the vinyl floor was lifted by the tub and the carpet was old. The swimming pool has been filled in by rocks. That being said, the bed was very comfortable, there was a small microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board in the room. Would we stay here again? Yes we would-it suited what we needed just fine. The manager was also very personable and accommodating.

Clean, Economical place to stay while Trout Fishing at Roaring River State Park

I have stayed at the Budget Inn Cassville a few times while briefly visiting Roaring River State Park. Clean comfortable rooms. The managers are extremely friendly and very accommodating to any needs. I will continue to utilize this motel when passing through or stopping for a few days to enjoy that portion of the Ozarks.
