What People are saying

Don't stay here

KayWAmsterdamon 13/08/2016 17:19

The location was the only good thing about this motel. The room and sheets didn't feel clean. Bathroom was very old and looked dirty, we didn't use the shower. The motel was very loud and a lot of drunk people were making noise in the middle of the night. We woke up to find trash and dirty towels all over the motel the next morning. It was disgusting and no attempts had been made by the staff to try to clean it up even by 10am. You can find much cleaner and better motels for this price. Not suitable for families with kids. You can find better value for money a couple of streets away.

Fun 4th of july weekend

Great view short walk to the boardwalk. Very roomy little kitchen. It was a small hotel area, only a dozen or so but it was quiet and nice area. I would stay there again . Enjoyed my time in Santa Cruz always have. Love the weather here and people are very friendly

Really bad hotel

Very small room with way too much furniture, Could hardly move around. Frosted and PAD-Locked slider door, so no escape except front door. Smoke detector was missing battery. Stained carpet, mismatched lamps. Thin towels, old soap that fell apart.Just poor!

Keep Going down the road

Took a day trip to San Francisco and ended up heading south to Santa Cruz. Stopped to get a room for the night as this place looked freshly painted and well kept from the outside. Every inch of the office was posted with some rule or another and they demanded a 20$ cash deposit even though they had my credit card? Several people checking in at the same time went to their rooms came back to the office and declined to stay there. I was too tired so the wife and I hauled our stuff up to the room which turned out to have two closet sized rooms and beds with a bathroom in between, all furniture was more than 2nd hand store old and nothing looked all that clean. I think this used to be a worker flop house from the 30's or 40's when there were canneries in this area near the docks and harbor. somehow managed to get through the night. It's close to the beach boardwalk and was relatively inexpensive about $70 but unless I was 21 years old and down here for a night or two at the boardwalk with 6 of my friends with me I'd keep driving down the road.

Bed bugs

travel3girlon 08/09/2014 20:03

I was bitten by multiple bed bugs on my first night here, and woke up to blood smears and visible bed bugs on the sheets. The evidence on my body came the next day with itchy welts all over. I informed reception and was given a nearby room for the next night. They have not given any refund for the cost of the first night. It was my worst hotel experience by far. What's worse is that the bed bugs certainly were not newcomers, so others must have experienced and likely reported the same thing I did. Who knows how long the bugs have been there despite complaints.
I wish I could figure out how to post the photos that I took of the bugs and the welts on my body.
