Clean, comfortable rooms.
Momotwinon 23/05/2017 22:38A no frills motel, just a good place to lay your sleepy head at night for under $100.00. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the bathrooms are recently updated, the a/c worked great in our rooms, the front desk staff were friendly. This motel is located by a train track (active all night) and a truck stop (active all night), so ear plugs or a fan are suggested if you are a light sleeper. We have not tried the complementary breakfast. Only a 20 minute drive from College Station and a good alternative to staying at an over priced "standard" hotel closer to town. Thank you Budgetel for staying humble and not jacking up the prices on special Aggie weekends.
Hearne Railroad Trip
Warren Con 08/10/2016 19:25Pleasantly surprised at this nice of a facility in a small town. The railroad is expanding and a lot of their folks live in motels. This is just north of town, near the highway junction, and it is very nice. Clean inside and out. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Room smelled fresh. Nice sized TV. Decent internet.
Predictable, but clean

Rather than waiting to leave early the next morning, we thought we'd go ahead and get a head start and stop whenever we got tired. Hearne was the "tired point" and we stopped by Budgetel for the night. This is not a fancy place, but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The TV had obviously seen better days or was just a cheapo as the picture/color was off. You could tell that the bathrooms had been recently "remodeled" as the tile and drywall seemed pretty new. Like I said, I probably would not "plan" to stop here, but it did the job nicely for not much money. And that was exactly what we needed.
Nice place when on the move
Ben Mon 26/05/2016 06:48I don't think anyone has a reason to stay in Hearne. But if you are, this place is a pleasant surprise. The room is actually pretty damn nice! That's weird. Price is fair, the owners/front desk are nice people that care about what they provide. If you're here for some weird reason and need a place, stay here.
scary experience
editor0375on 17/05/2016 06:59this hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in for as long as I can remember. The sheets were gray, and so thin you could see through them. we slept on top of them. It was very loud outside so sleeping was at a minimum. But the worst was the birds who flew around the breezeway upstairs, at all times, and nearly attacked me.
