One night stay
KRIS7511on 14/08/2017 17:50We stayed at the Hotel for one night , arrived a bit late , had a dinner at the hotel restaurant/bar area.
Super cold air was blowing on everyone, people and staff complained but took over an hour to do something about . Didn't improve much anyhow .
Dinner was terrible , had steak and J Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon , way overpriced.
Hotel is outdated and rooms stink a bit .
Wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Service was good , staff at the bar very nice and friendly.
Excellent Hotel
Chris416on 13/08/2017 03:16I was impressed right from the start, the front desk was friendly, and he set the tone for the stay. The hotel was very comfortable, I found the room exceeded my expectation. There was some noise from a neighbour's room, but I heard security take care of situation professionally. Then after that it was very quiet, and got a very good night sleep. The ac worked great. This is probably one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed in awhile. I would like to stay again when I'm back in the area.
Great location and a great value
Doug Lon 10/08/2017 16:04We spent 3 days in the area visiting Niagara Falls and Canada and fortunately we were able to find this hotel to stay in. The rates were well below the rest of the hotels in the area and the hotel itself was very clean with nice staff, 2 pools (one inside and one outside) and had easy access to downtown Buffalo and Niagara Falls (roughly 15 minutes for both) with the University of Buffalo being right across the street.
If you are visiting the area and looking for a place to stay I highly recommend this hotel for its price, convenience, staff and value.
One stop shopping
maryann son 09/08/2017 21:32Stayed here twice recently. A nice surprise in so many ways! The front desk was awesome. Quickest check in ever. (We reserved online.) One young gentleman actually checked the floor diagram book when I asked about proximity of elevators. Above and beyond showing me location. When I needed help with WiFi a young woman at the desk did it for me.
The room was clean, huge, well appointed with reading lamps on bed, tons of glasses, comfy chair, high quality blow dryer, etc.. The hotel is huge, but super quiet. (A benefit of its age?)
The restaurant breakfast was stellar. They had my favorite, steel cut real oatmeal, in summer. We ate a light super or snacks and drinks in the Blue Fire grill each night. Everything very good, homemade. Bartenders both wonderful.
Tons of parking! No fight for that last spot.
Hubby used the well-stocked exercise room every day.
Strong showers, nice products.
The hotel is not super modern, but it is wonderfully convenient if you want to park your car and be done.
I cannot say enough though about the staff! Best, most thoughtful staff I've seen in a US hotel!

Understaffed
MNtripmavenon 31/07/2017 00:56Due to being severely understaffed, the customer service was terrible. Long wait to check in and the front desk staff doubled as the barista. The entire hotel is in need of an update. Long walk from the desk to the back of the hotel where the sleeping rooms are.
