We have stayed at this hotel for four years running. We love it we will be back again this year in June. Pools are lovely one is like a roman bath and is warmer than themore modern one.The staff are lovely especially Wayan at reception. We stay for. a month and never want to leave.

Weekend retreat in Sanur

I spent last weekend at the Bumas Hotel. Upon arrival the staff were incredibly friendly and useful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast although simple was excellent. Two swimming pools to choose from. Walking distance to many good restaurants. The beach a pleasant 10 minute stroll. Good value.

This is a lovely hotel with a great location right in the center of sanur, but in a little side street so it's very peaceful. The staff is very friendly and the 2 pools are great! The bed is gigantic and way to comfortable (I sleep way too much here haha) I would recommend this hotel over those big unpersonal resorts any day!

Will be looking elsewhere next time

The room we were put in smelt very strongly of mould. not just musty I mean really unhealthy mould.
Then after a while we realised that the air con was blowing air but not cooling the room but by then it was too late so we had a hot sleepless night.
Next morning they allocated us another room which didn't smell as bad as the first but still mouldy.
I asked if they were going to charge us full price for the first night and the reply? Yes madam sorry.
We were quoted Rp500,000 (A$50) but I suspect we might have been overcharged and should have haggled more.
Well I told them I would report this on trip advisor but they didn't care.
The gardens are nice and the rooms would be OK if they didn't smell so bad. Haven't tried the pools (2) but they look OK.
Great location.
Bed is hard.
Not coming back.

If you are lucky enough to visit one of the most beautiful places on Earth,such as Bali,you will probably spend most of your time outside,sightseeing,so why overpay the hotel,where you will only spend the night.
Built in the typical indonesian style,Bumas has 2 swimming poos,very hospitable stuff and its quite quiet,making it perfect if you are looking for a place to relax.Not to forget,beds are huge!
Other than that,rooms are decent,tidy,with air conditioning.The only bad is,that it doesnt have its own beach,but you can crash on any other beach in Sanur.
