Very nice B&B close to the Shannon Airport
missingitaly2on 31/07/2017 04:49We stayed here several nights in June and loved it! The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Lorraine is fun to talk to and easy to work with. Definitely will stay here again!
Fantastic!
Tim Qon 24/07/2017 16:45Great communications with Lorraine prior to our stay. We had 2 rooms for myself & wife, 2 adult daughters and 8 Y.O. grandson. The place is very clean and well decorated & landscaped. Our grandson and Lorraine's son became immediate friends. They practiced Gaelic football and played on the trampoline together. I would recommend Bunratty Haven to anyone staying in the Shannon area. I know we'll be back!
the best
Colleen Mon 19/07/2017 19:28I've stayed at many bed and breakfast sites in my travels, and this is the most welcoming and comfortable I have stayed in. The gift of hospitality has been showered upon Lorraine, and she blesses her guests with it. She bent over backwards to give us exactly what each of our party of 5 preferred for breakfast. She was efficient yet sociable, acting as if she had nothing to do other than chat with us and answer questions. The grounds of the B&B are beautiful, as is the house. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious, clean and look like new. We stayed for six nights and found the location to be central for all the day trips we made. I cannot say enough good things about this visit and Lorraine. The great thing is, she's training her two children to hopefully carry on the tradition she has started.
This location was the best decision we made for our vacation!
FredM215on 15/07/2017 10:07This family treats you like family. They are quite accommodating hosts, who run a spotless establishment that appears to have been renovated last week, though she swears it's not. The breakfast is nice, and be advised that items on the menu may be cooked to order (good to know if you don't like hard yolks in your eggs or prefer a spare instead of pudding). Water is hot, beds are comfortable, linens are very nice. The only minor complaint that I have is that the WiFi is a bit dodgy and could benefit from a modern router and repeater.
We had the great displeasure of booking one night at Bunratty Castle Hotel, a supposedly fine establishment, as Bunratty Haven was booked full one night, and were so sorry we weren't able to stay at the Haven all week. The difference was night and day!
I would have preferred fluffier pillows on the bed, but I believe that what they have is the standard for Ireland. If they imported some better pillows and pillowcases, they would surely be treating their guests to a much higher quality experience than the competition. This in no way detracts from our experience, but is a suggestion. We could not recommend this location more, and would love to stay again.
One last thing, and this goes for any place you eat breakfast; make sure you research what black and white pudding is before you order it for breakfast. You have been warned!
Wonderful Bed&Breakfast
