Lovely place, highly recommend there appeared to lot of tourists at hotel.

I only stayed for 1 night.

Buffet was very good & hot.
Staff are very accommodating and would do anything for you.
Room was very spacious & modern.

Good hotel...great beds

The hotel is nice. Located in a small town near a small lake, the hotel is modern inside. For the good things: rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The beds are amazingly confortable. All needed amenities in the room are available. The spa area is really enjoyable. Nice swimming pool with great lounge area. For the not so good things: check-in was long and the lady at the front desk was on the phone not really caring that I was waiting for checking-in. English is not greatly spoken by all personnal which can make communication complicated. But overall it's a great place to stat at. Prices are decent for the quality of the place. I would go back there

Lovely Spa Hotel in Central Germany

Had a one night stay due to a meeting in the nearby city of Nordhausen where there are no good hotels. This hotel is in a lovely little town an is popular for the spa services it provides. We did not partake of any but it is clean & modern a combination of an older section with beautiful period architecture and a new section were we stayed. Standard room was a little small but OK for one night. Setting is lovely with a small terrace outside the room. Restaurant was a real surprise. We ordered the Cod with mediterranean vegetable and the the roast venison with a Porcini mushroom soup starter. The soup was incredibly good as was the cod. The venison was a little dry (fairly normal for venison in my experience) and a bit over seasoned with Thyme but interesting nonetheless. All in all a very nice dining experience. Local wines are very reasonably priced and good.

A most enjoyable experience

My husband and I accompanied another couple who selected this hotel for a week's holiday in Bad Sachsa. This hotel met our high expectation of a Best Western hotel.
The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The bedrooms were of a high standard, very spacious with a dressing area, a sitting area with TV and a large en suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. All linen looked fresh and of good quality.
The food was excellent. Half board offered an excellent choice of food for both breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was a buffet which included both hot and cold food options. The evening meal was also a buffet offering a full range of food for as many courses as you required!
There were spa and gym facilities that we did not use so are unable to comment on. A swimming pool is currently being constructed.
We had a very comfortable stay here and probably should have used the spa and gymn facilities to compensate for all the good food we ate.

When there is a party

I stayed on Saturday night in June and typically there was an marriage party. The restaurant only served disappointing buffet (no a la carte), and a loud sound of the party continued till late at night, having made me awake. Unlike the most hotels in the U.S. or Japan, the most hotels in Germany have no early check-out system. More than 30 minutes I needed before leaving this hotel.
