Beatiful Palace with a great location
Coleen Don 20/10/2016 15:21We stayed on the 3rd floor by the main room. The walls are very thick and we never heard any sounds from anywhere else. The bathroom and shower are huge! There is a slight canal view if you hang out the window. They had the best breakfast we had in Italy. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the vaporetto. There is no lift as is normal in old buildings so be prepared to walk up the stairs (3rd floor is 4th to us in the US). The steps are well worth it. Within walking distance 10-15 minutes from all major attractions. On a quiet street with lots of great shopping and restaurants. The staff is superb and the owner was so helpful and friendly.
Nightmare seagull noise
AnanBon 12/06/2016 19:25We stayed here for 3 nights recently. We had a room right at the roof of a 5 storey building so you'd better be fit!
The room was clean but had what we needed although there is only one mirror that is in the bathroom so I couldn't do my make up while OH was in the bathroom which was frustrating. There is also no proper shelving or lighting in the bathroom either. On the last morning we had to have Luke warm showers as the hot had obviously run out - at 8.30am!
The breakfast was nice - cheese, meats, fruit and cake etc, nicely done.
The worst thing for us though was the nesting seagulls on the roof next to a high window. At 4.50 am (dawn I think) they would start squawking and crying for food and that went on for a few hours, there is no way that you could sleep through it, it was a nightmare! They need to sort the problem as it's not really acceptable to gave guests woken at 5am everyday, although I sympathise that is won't be an easy task.
Great apartment
hammy2004on 03/05/2016 16:35Stayed on the bottom floor. There is a B&B upstairs but breakfast was not included in our accommodation. Easy access to our place without disturbing others. Gracious host with lots of suggestions. Mobile signal a bit suspect. It took three tries as we moved around the building to allow me to pay on a wireless credit card reader. Very large room and bathroom. Nice bath (a rarity in Europe as we noted in our 5 city trip). As expected, we got lost on more than one occasion going to and from St Mark's. It felt like a small victory once we found our way back! I couldn't get the coffee maker working, but it may have been a reflection of my technical capabilities.
Great apartment
claireking12on 16/09/2015 20:22Had a great stay. There was 5 of us and we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment which was roomy, clean and well equipped. Really close to water stop and most of the main sights.
The owners are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.
Nice place to stay
FrancescoCigdemon 09/08/2015 00:41We stayed for our honeymoon there and had a pleasant stay. It is close to boat stop for airport (little bridges are the destinty in Venice). People were very friendly and kind. Breakfast was also good.
