OK stay
Jadee_007on 09/08/2017 11:36The room was much smaller then we expected from the photos. Very basic facilities, no fridge in room and no cups to enjoy a drink from, also very little space for cases.
We arrived at Rialto water stop to be met off the train by a pleasant but to the point man who took us down a side street to the hotel, approx 1-2 min walk from Rialto bridge. The doorway to to the 'hotel' is no more then a very dark passageway in between a restaurant and shop. At this point we were a little worried about what we had signed up for as neither the description or reviews mention such an 'interesting' entrance. Had I have been travelling alone or with girlfriends we would have turned and ran. Anyway, we were shown to our room up 4 short and narrow staircases with a broken handrail (please not no lift), after a brief showing of the room we were ushered into a seating area to pay our hotel charges and city tax, city tax must be paid in cash. We were then left to it.
On spending a little time in the room, we felt a little more relaxed and decided to just take it as an experience. We had trouble with the wifi but text the 'man in charge' and he text back immediately with a cure. The toilet seat was a little wobbly and only 1 pillow each provided on the bed, Shower pressure was OK but not the best and air-con very noisy but not very efficient. Room was quiet and served its purpose. We didn't see a single person during our stay, no other guests or staff - which I guess is quite nice, but some reassurance wouldn't have gone a miss.
Great location for exploring all Venice has to offer but sadly feel a little misled by photos.
Anyway, we had a fantastic time in Venice just wouldn't be in a rush to return to locanda delle acque.
Scam psuedo hotel, horrible experience, avoid at all cost
spinjosovskyon 18/07/2017 09:59I mean, I didn't like anything about this pseudo hotel.
First of all, this is not a real hotel, I mean the owner has like several apartment spreaded all over Venice, and they don't give you the address of your "room" until the last time
It was VEEERY difficult to coordinate to the hotel staff. They want it us to call him and wait for him in an exact location, very mysterious and luckily I have a phone to call, but how the people do if they don't have phone???? well you just CANT FIND YOUR "ROOM"
We lost like 1 hour trying to first find the location given my the hotel guy (which they were everything wrong) and then waiting for him in the middle of a vaporetto exit, Horrible experience if you have luggage.
After we saw him we just follow him to the OK room, nothing charming, nothing new, funny smells everywhere.
The size of the room was OK, but waaaaay to sober, bed so stiff, horrible! horrible pillow, not even a chair or a table, NOTHING just the bed, for the price you pay, AT LEAST A SINGLE CHAIR WILL BE FINE.
Bathroom ok but funny smells came all the time. Noisy neighborhood although they say its quiet and all
Frankly this hotel is a REAL SCAM, and if I were you, I will avoid it at all cost... we have a very unpleasant experience
Beautiful view
JacquesvanAswegenon 11/07/2017 08:31My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the room with the terrace and canal views. The room had air conditioning and a good bed. The best was the breakfast on the terrace. It was the best view you can imagine.
great place to stay
wentworth058on 10/07/2017 21:45Our host was very easy to deal with - friendly and provided a great breakfast. This is a good value and good location hotel. My only criticism is that it is hard to find! - needs a bigger sign on the front door. I'd stay there again.
Wonderful stay in the heart of Venice
Desislava Son 06/06/2017 08:36We enjoyed our stay in Venice in double room. The room was very clean. The host sent me message to call him when arrive and he was waiting for us at the square right next to Locanda delle acque.
The location is just perfect! 2-3 minutes from Rialto bridge and 10 minutes from San Marco.
