Birthday trip
lightblue1986on 06/02/2017 23:11I stayed here with my mum for two nights, it was a treat for my 30th!
Set in a lovely quite location along the canal this B&B is beautiful decorated beautifully and has very helpful and friendly members of staff available 24/7.
Unfortunately when catching the bus from Treviso Airport to Venice another passenger mistook their bag for my mums meaning that when we reached our destination she had no luggage! Luckily all important documents were on her person. The staff at Ca' Maria Callas were so helpful in trying to find the bag for us making numerous calls to Police, Airport and Bus companies to enquire about the bag keeping us informed at all times and although we had no success in regaining the bag both myself and my mum felt that everything that could have been done was, so a big thank you for that! Location is brilliant close to everything a few minutes walk to all main attractions and shops bars and restaurants.
If you are lucky you might catch some fab singing on a gondola as it goes past your bedroom window!
Tea and coffee and light snacks available throughout your stay.
Rooms have amazing spa like showers that massage you.
Hairdryers in bathroom.
Our room had a uk 3pin socket but not sure if all rooms do!
Room and all surrounding areas were all very clean and pleasant i would definitely stay here again if i return to Venice 😁
Quiet location 5 minutes walk from St. Mark Square
ChiaraMorrison 12/09/2016 07:13This bed and breakfast is quiet and a homely experience, since it is located within a very peaceful courtyard behind the Fenice Theatre.
We could find it easily following the directions we had been given by the owner, who offered also to guide us over the phone if we wished to.
Do not withdraw in front of the anonymous and a little tired courtyard entrance door....look at the Madonna statue and the numbers at the top and push it open. You have arrived! The main entrance is across the nice little courtyard.
Good size room and bathroom. Very clean. Antique furniture and modern bed. Some corners would need a little renovation, but the overall care provide a warm feeling.
Nice breakfast and very caring owner and staff.
Good value for money, especially for Venetian standards.
Perfect peaceful location
JoTonyBristolon 31/08/2016 18:47We loved the location as it was very peaceful but close to St Marks Square, Rialto and Fenice Theatre. The view from the room 1 was fabulous, it was great watching the gondolas going past and listening to the music, very romantic. It is a small family run place with a simple but adequate breakfast and we had no need for any extra hotel services. We got the water bus from the airport which is a scenic way to arrive. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Charming place in a peaceful but ideal location
Kathy_Cousinson 09/05/2016 14:18We stayed at the Ca Maria Callas for 3 nights last week and had a lovely stay. We arrived very late at night and they made provisions for us to access the building for when we arrived. They sent perfect instructions from the water taxi stop so we arrived safe and sound without getting lost - an easy thing to do in Venice - fun during the day and it's part of the trip, but not at 2am :-)
The room was clean and charming - very Venetian - with a modern bathroom, and overlooked a canal. The breakfast is simple and tasty - some fresh fruit would have been good though.
The guest house is in a quiet, peaceful location only 5 minutes from St Mark's Square. The only noise was the gondoliers singing as they floated past in the evenings - honestly! Straight out of a movie.
The owners were friendly and helpful both before and during our stay; check in was easy; location was perfect; room was lovely. All in all a great stay at this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or stay again. Thank you to Chiara and family.
Only cares about cashing in
weiyingwangon 21/02/2016 01:04The room was mistakenly double booked for dates that I was not intend to travel. The owner exploited the mistake and charged full price for 3 days. Despite explaining the situation, and clearly realised that I was in distressed, the owner sent a borderline offensive email informing that I would be penalised and refused any alternative arrangement. The hotel offered no services to me, and would have released the reservation and made the room available to other people.
The hotel has a policy for late cancellation but this is clearly a mistake. The lack of goodwill to come to any arrangements apart from cashing in is majorly upset. I would suggest people find another premise with similar price and a management that actually care about their guests then exploiting short term gains.
