Great B&B in a quiet location
Sarah Don 19/08/2017 01:40We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very large and clean, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The building itself is very charming and in a nice quiet location away from the tourist areas. It's not right in the heart of everything, but it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the Rialto bridge from the hotel, and there are a lot of good restaurants and shops close to it. It can be a bit difficult to find, but follow the instructions online and you'll be fine. From the train station cross the bridge over the Grand Canal and then follow the yellow museum signs. It's only about a 5 or so minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again next time we're in Venice. The value was amazing for what we got out of our stay.
A quiet haven in a busy city.
AngieF_11on 23/07/2017 11:26Venice is a beautiful city, but it gets very busy. Staying at Ca' San Giorgio, we were able to escape the crowds and enjoy this lovely neighbourhood. There are great restaurants nearby, we enjoyed La Zucca and Al Prosecco, also a fab Gelateria.
The B&B is beautiful and it's location is prefect, right on the Grand Canal and just a few minutes from the San Stae vaporetto stop, making it easy to get around and enjoy all the sites of this wonderful city.
The staff are lovely, and very helpfully booked tables for us at restaurants during our stay.
The only thing I would say, is the bathroom, although lovely and very stylish, could do with a shelf or shower caddy to give you somewhere to store your toiletries. This is a minor minor detail.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.
Ca' San Giorgio Could not have been better !
AstuteTraveler33040on 21/07/2017 21:59This small, beautifully appointed, B&B is perfect in every way. The location is away from the San Marco / Rialto crowds but an easy walk to them. The staff are fluent in multiple languages and extremely helpful in planning your activities and booking reservations for you. Great restaurants are a block away as are food stores and purveyors of wonderful Gelato. Two different vaporetto stops are a couple short blocks. My only caution is for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. While there are two guest rooms on the ground level, the breakfast room is two flights up. That said, my guess is that the staff would be happy to bring your breakfast down to you if you ask. After all, the staff even went so far as to purchase sugar free yogurt and Apple Juice to meet special dietary needs for me - no problem. If our travels bring us back to Venice, we will return to the Ca' San Giorgio for certain.
Great stay at Ca' San Giorgio
Ben Hon 12/07/2017 18:17Had a great time here. Lovely owners/staff. 10/10 breakfast, aircon (very important when it's 36 outside) and away from the tourists but close to the good spots for food etc. only thought is that the upper floors would have nicer views!
Fantastic accommodation and location
LaingTravelatoron 10/07/2017 08:38We stayed for 6 nights at Ca' San Giorgio. we could not have chosen a better place. The owners and staff are fantastic and so helpful. The location was just perfect. It was far enough away from the crowds but close enough to great restaurants and all the main attractions. Pay the little bit extra to get the larger rooms if staying for a while. Its worth it.
If you get a private water taxi their is a landing just 40 metres from the hotel.
