Hiker51258on 22/10/2016 02:48We spent one night here as we passed through Elk Rapids. The shared space was practically the entire downstairs. It was clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Our hostess created a full breakfast buffet. We loved it. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Christmas decorations were beautiful throughout the whole house. Their kids are very friendly and hung out with us. We stayed in the cottage and it was great. Very clean. Definitely want to come back
The feeling of home
VeteranTravelerson 02/11/2015 22:45We just spent a weekend at the Cairn House B&B. It is under new management but you would never know it from the excellent service. The innkeeper, Ronnie, was friendly, the breakfast was superb, and the room very comfortable. Ronnie and her family live in the house so you bump into her husband, Mark, or one of the almost-grown kids occasionally but not in an intrusive way. There is a lovely porch to eat breakfast and a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee bar available at all times. Definitely a place to come back to!

MotownMoon 03/08/2015 22:01An amazing oasis with a very friendly hostess who delights in serving up the most wonderful breakfast specialties! We had the King room at the top of the stairs - very comfy bedding and pillows, beautiful bathroom. The back porch had a lovely fire pit to help keep us engaged talking with the owner and fellow guests long into the evening. The living room is a nice quiet reading location.

Lana Don 24/10/2014 21:09We were very pleased with this B & B, and with the proprietor, Helen. She aimed to please, and made us very comfortable. Lovely breakfasts were ready each morning, along with a cup of coffee placed directly onto our fingers! This was a family reunion, and we enjoyed visiting in the pleasant sunroom each day. Our room was very comfortable and we appreciated being able to adjust the temperature to our liking. We would recommend Cairn House to anyone traveling to this area.
