Hotel is closed
Kimberly Fon 17/05/2017 16:58This hotel has been closed for several years. A bit worrying that Trip Advisor doesn't have clear information about this.
The property looks great but has been abandoned for several years. I hope that someone will close this listing because it gives a false impression of the number of hotels available in La Cala. There are only three hotels: Vik a large cheap hotel, Carmen which is an inexpensive but good standard and el oceano which is on the high end. I would love to see this hotel reopened and hope an investor sees this as a great opportunity.
Worst hotel I have stayed
Linda Hon 03/04/2016 10:30This hotel should not half a 4 star rating, the pool area is covered in ants and there are ducks in the swimming pool. Do not book half board the food is terrible. It would only be worth booking a one night business trip the hotel is very very quiet nothing going on totally dead.
Clean, friendly but quite basic
Cliodna Oon 04/03/2016 13:25I was in Mijas for a four-day business trip and was booked in this hotel - I chose it as I wanted a small hotel near the main street. But it was probably not the best choice for a business trip.
While the room was clean and comfortable, it was quite small and the desk area was very narrow. There was no phone in the bedroom, though there is free WiFi and you have to ask at reception for a hairdryer. The other downside for me was the lack of any real restaurant service. There is a small bar attached to the hotel where they served a breakfast, but only began serving at 8.30am. As my meetings all began at nine it was a very rushed breakfast...a meal which for me anyway is the most important of the day.
However the service was good, reception friendly, price acceptable, and as long as you're not leaving early in the mornings and want a good early breakfast this would be a fine mid-price choice.
NIce hotel close to beach
bunnybabePisaon 11/11/2015 19:51Just a one night stay here prior to a cruise. Great location to beach and town centre, the rooms are spacious and clean and very quiet. Nice friendly staff, good bar service. Only downfall is the lack of wifi service in the rooms. Good priced hotel. Would visit again.
Business type hotel
steve hon 18/10/2015 11:07Nice friendly hotel with good size rooms and a great breakfast well worth including in your booking. Across the road from LaCala town and beach which you access from a footbridge. Local market on Saturday & Wednesday just a 2 minute walk but the town has everything you need. Hotel has outdoor pool & Small room with gym equipment. Friendly helpful staff
