suitable for a one night stop

We found it difficult to find arriving from the south and not via the motorway. The hotel is part of a larger complex of hotels in an out of the way area.The food was good. Even though it was busy there was no noise. The air-con was very efficient. There is plenty of parking.

Campanile hotels can be excellent; sadly, this one is not. First-floor rooms now have access by staircases that are not the old metal spiral ones, rooms have been redecorated in the new lime green colours, new kettles etc, but the loo seat was almost detached and the hairdryer didn't work. The restaurant was busy and cramped, with insufficient staff so that the sole waiter was running round like an Olympic athlete; the buffet was not very good - empty dishes were not refilled, and we had to ask several times for water (which was warm). We speak French so we were understood! We asked if we could eat outside; the response was simply "Non", though it was a lovely evening and it would have been much nicer not to be squashed on top of other diners. We have stayed in better Campaniles.

Very close and convenient to the Autoroute (A6) but not that much road noise. Although more expensive that the other local budget hotels the room had a proper bathroom with bath not the plastic type enclosure found in the lower price budget hotels. Large bed and a very clean room.
Downside, if you have a lot of luggage rooms on the 2nd floor can be a pain to access as no lifts PLUS limited restaurants (unless you like Asian buffet style, 2 nearby) Campanile has its own restaurant but it is not outstanding (see separate review)

Difficult to find, was greeted by a clearly hassled receptionist, room was clean and had a good nights sleep, breakfast pretty good-for a budget hotel ok, but when you take into account the total cost of breakfast there are some much better hotels for similar prices.ok

Dirty plates

Despite the best efforts of a helpful and efficient young lady on the morning of the 21 June breakfast was a disaster. Despite my best efforts to find clean plates on the breakfast bar my wife and I suffered illness afterwards down to contaminated plates. Also she was on her own as a colleague had not turned up. The service on 20 June was also very rushed. This hotel needs to sharpen up on its staff training.
