Disappointing
Christopher Won 14/06/2017 17:46Hotels in the Netherlands are seldom cheap, but €80 for a night here was way too expensive for the standard offered. The room size was relatively small, rather dated and a little dingy. Having been used to the excellent standard of Campanile hotels in the UK, this one was a let down. On the plus side the staff were welcoming, the WiFi was good, and the location okay for the Hook of Holland. In summary too expensive for a decidedly second rate hotel. Better to pay €20 or so more for a better hotel in our view.

oo_Maura_Tommy_ooon 24/04/2017 09:57Room was ok . Bed comfortable n clean. Requested stopper for sink but still had not received it on departure despite being told they would ring housekeeping. First morning breakfast was Stone Cold so did not eat there for rest of stay.
Steps up to i first floor filty don't know when it was last cleaned. Spills of coffee or beer on them n not cleaned
Average Motel
Donato Aon 03/01/2017 07:31I've been using Campanile hotels for about two decades. They are nice "middle class" hotels and offer good facilities. This one is not typically. It looks like an old Motel, similar to the ones we find close to any US motorway. Oldish rooms, no lift, the rooms are not in the same building than the reception. There is no lobby. No more than average. I would say that this hotel very well reflects the state of the Netherlands: Very Average. This country is no longer what it used to be, it lies in its old glory, and forget that the prosperity of a country does not rest on its past but on its present decisions and actions that will determine its future glory.
One issue about this hotel, is that there are no plugs by the bed. The only few plugs are close to the desk that is in front of the window. So, there is no way to charge your smart phone by your side when you sleep; no way to use a sleeping machine (CPAP) unless you ask for an extension cord (their's are very short and won't be of big help).
A funny thing. When you take the room for two, there is only one set of towels. The second set is inside a cabinet under the desk. It looks like a refregirator, but it is just a cabinet.
In the Hotel business average is never good, average means going backward not forward.
Acceptable for Business Travel
David Con 10/12/2016 11:24A colleague and myself stayed at the Campanile whilst traveling on business. The staff were helpful. The hotel is acceptable for an overnight but that's about it. Wouldn't recommend for traveling with wife's, partners etc. At least it's in a decent location for Schiedam.
Good value for money
IrfanNomanon 31/08/2016 21:02Very good value for money. I stayed for 6 nights and needed accommodation near to my family. This place comes out to be nice. Check inn was smooth and since after check inn never find reason to go to reception. Daily good house keeping with every day refill of you tea coffee sachets and 2 biscuits which i start loving. In room electric kettle and disposable cups. Bathroom was also decent. Only disappointment was water dripping out side room from roof. Hotel has free car parking for guest and surroundings was also nice. It was comfortable stay in good price.
