Cheap and Cheerful, but a warm welcome
Newmarshon 03/09/2016 20:17Typical budget chain hotel, looking somewhat tired and in need of a bit of TLC. However, the room, although plain was spotlessly clean with pristine linen on a comfortable bed. The bathroom was immaculate with a good working shower.
We only stayed the one night but were made to feel very welcome by Olivier and his brother Christophe.
The buffet dinner was good with plenty of choice and was restocked almost continuously by the chef and her assistant. An enjoyable leisurely meal washed down with a glass of reasonably priced wine.
The buffet breakfast similarly had plenty of choice and again was restocked continuously. I would not hesitate to use it again.
A STOPOVER IN A STORM
jag21travelleron 29/06/2016 16:08over the years we have stopped at the Campanile chain when in France, they are clean reasonable food and good service, but this year we where a little disappointed especially with the décor, it gave the impression of a fast food place no atmosphere. the chairs in the restaurant where uncomfortable and did make you want to stay and enjoy the ambience of the food and wine. but as a budget stopover good.
OK for the price
Katsounaon 20/04/2016 23:27Location of hotel not far from the town in what seems a industrial park. Opposite a Macdonalds and the supermarket was next door. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was cleaned to a high standard, however, it was rather noisy when other guests returned to their rooms late at night. I can sum the hotel by saying it was functional and good value. Our friends live in Issoudun so we just needed a bed and it was OK.
Good for the price
Roger Bon 21/07/2015 21:32There for one night. Easy access to and from the motorway. Basic but good for the price. If you want to be pampered then pay more and look for somewhere else. The choice is yours. I would use it again. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Oliver on reception couldn't do enough to make us welcome.
Free Wifi? What Wifi?
Josh Gon 01/03/2015 23:491. Room is dirty. It looks like it was cleaned in a hurry. Some dirty marks on sheets that laundry cannot remove. Still won't throw away.
2. Some switch lights broken.
3. Dirty, moldy bathtub
4. Only one outlet plug available by desk. You can't charge your phone by your pillow but on a desk.
5. No bathroom provisions (no hand soap or lotion)
6. WIFI is extremely poor. It is the speed of a dial up back in 1992. You cannot stream simple videos, takes 10-30 seconds to load a page. Netflix? Don't bother.
