Basic but does the job
JHM4684on 02/01/2017 19:02We stayed here for 3 nights over the New Year. I'd read reviews so I was aware of what to expect. It was moderately priced. Anatole metro was extremely close which was very handy. The room was clean and beds and towels were changed each day. There was a heating unit which could be set at whatever temperature you wanted which was good. The bedroom itself was an ok size. The bathroom, the shower in particular, was tiny!! The shower was extremely small to get in to and then once you were in the cubicle, you could barely move- to wash my hair was a struggle without banging my elbows on the glass doors!! And I am definitely not overweight... Anyone slightly bigger/taller would struggle! The check in took a long time even though there wasn't anyone else waiting- the man wasn't very sure of what he was doing! I borrowed a hairdryer for a 20euro deposit which was handy. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a comfy and clean bed near the metro. Not bad, but nothing special!
extremely clean and comfortable.
ssascotton 04/10/2016 14:56chose this hotel as it was near to a friend who lives there. The hotel is superbly located for the metro into the centre of Paris and to explore this lovely little town with its pavement cafe bars, a lovely park and nice shops. We had morning coffee in the cafe metro every day and staff and other local customers were very friendly. The hotel rooms are extremely clean and well equipped. One slight problem however in my particular room 202 the shower cubicle was tiny. I am not in the slightest overweight but if I weighed a few more pounds it would have been impossible to have a shower. As it was only for a few days I put up with it. A special mention to the night porter who was particularly helpful and friendly.
Good average hotel
NilsCalasanzioon 17/09/2016 12:44I stayed there for 1 night. The room was extremely small, but clean. The Bed was comfortable , the temperature of the room adequate, and there was good sound-isolation. The room felt a bit basic , very cheap plastic-looking furniture... but I was not expecting luxury considering it is a two stars hotel. Bathroom was okay. The receptionist was kind and professional, although she did not know the area at all so could not give advices. This hotel has an Extremely small lift. As I was carrying a bike with me, I had to use the stairs all the time (very narrow stairs by the way). I did not try the breakfast. Overall it is a fairly average hotel, and the price paid was adequate. Nothing to complain too much about , but not a fancy hotel either.
Clean Rooms, Very close to Metro Station
Hussein Jon 17/05/2016 11:07We visited Paris as a couple, we searched over the internet for many hotels, and we were price oriented. So we booked Campanile Paris Ouest.
The hotel is located in Levallois 1 minute walking from Anatole Metro station.
First of all, at the entrance a welcoming well trained front desk employee, the check in took just 1 minute while we borrowed a Iron and a hair dryer for a 20Euro refunded fee for each, and we got that money back when leaving. The room is small, but this is what I also said about many 4 stars Hotels in Europe, but here the rooms was well equipped and very clean. A clean kettle with cups and a variety of coffee and thee infusions are refilled everyday while they clean the rooms without touching any of our belongings. we slept well for three nights without any disturbance.
I was concerned about the time of travel in metro we need to reach interesting attractions in Paris, but I was surprised how cheap the Metro fee is (approx 1.45 Euro if you but a pack of 10 tickets) and how fast we reached destinations like Opera (15 min), Trocadero (25 min), Monmartres (20 min), Eiffel tower (25 min), Arc de Triomphe and champs Elysées (15 min).
We were also surprised by the clean and well organized neighborhood where you can find a bakery and many supermarkets at a small walking distance. Nearby, there's also le Parc de la Planchette, a beautiful place for a morning walk, and La place de la Mairie with its beautiful flowers and fountains.
I recommend this Hotel for the nice stay I have in it, and for its location gthat allowed me to visit the best attractions in Paris during 3 Days only, (Place de Trocadero, Eiffel tower and Champ de Mars - Champs Elysées and Arc de Triomphe - Versailles Palace and its gardens - Monmartes and Sacré-Coeur Basilica - Opera - Concorde Square - Luxembourg Garden- Notre Dame Cathedral - the Latin quarter (saint Severin and saint Michel).
Next time, Campanile of course.
Would give it a 0!
AdamR08on 15/04/2016 23:12Where to start! I'm not a complainer but this place, I had to make an exception. Terrible staff. Long story short asked if they were available on the dates we asked for, clearly stating it was a Groupon offer, they confirmed they was. They even got to the stage of taking out passport details, then... They suddenly said they wasn't available on this dates and denied all knowledge of saying they were available on them dates. If you want to book this place under a Groupon offer I wouldn't even bother. I have 15 emails to confirm their poor service and dismissal. Terrible
