A pleasant overnight stay
gpm75015on 28/08/2016 14:56We stayed at the Campanile on the night of Saturday / Sunday 27th / 28th August . We found the rooms came very much up to the standard we have come to expect of the Campanile chain. They were not huge, but clean and comfortable; the bedding was impeccably clean and there was plenty of hot water.
The breakfast buffet offered a very wide variety of all kinds of breakfast foods - something for everyone, in fact, and for all tastes.
The hotel is some distance from the town of Saumur itself, admittedly, but that's the kind of detail one checks up on before booking! Although close to the motorway, it quiet.
convenient for over nighting
Tineke Con 26/07/2016 23:45The room was very basic, but not clean. There was a very large cobweb in the corner of the room. The bed, however, was comfortable and the bedlinen was very clean.
Unfortunately it was a 50 minute walk into Saumur, much longer than was advertised.

Jan Hon 10/05/2016 20:49This our third time here and it's so convenient . A big plus is the large number of ground floor rooms with parking right outside. After a long drive it's lovely not to do battle with any stairs, literally just a few steps with the bags from car to room. The on site restaurant has again come up to expectations. Good food and wine reasonably priced The staff were friendly and helpful.An added bonus is the wine cave that's adjacent for delicious local produce. A Carrefour not far away for easy refuelling.
Carer De Bourman didn't register on our sat nav so used the grid ref which solved the problem..
Rolling in the Deep
RichTetburyon 10/05/2016 15:11We were cycling so being on the top of a hill on the edge of town wasn't great. Perhaps our fault for not checking but be aware you cant walk into town from here without it turning into a hike. A muddle at reception when it came to our bookings but they sorted it. However, maybe again our fault as we didn't speak French, there was a man in the office who spoke perfect English but seemed reluctant to help out and left it to the receptionists to handle. Rooms were standard motel type rooms. OK but nothing much to write home about. Best part about it was being able to push the bikes into the room for overnight safety. Breakfast was very nice, but be aware, we had three rooms and there was a different charge for each room. So check out pricing structure. What were fab were the chewy sweets on the reception desk. A highlight but not a reason to stay here...
An excellent place where the hotel manager provided an outstanding welcome
olivier mon 02/01/2016 20:31The hotel is located in a quiet place from where you have a very nice view of the town and its wonderful Castle.
Saumur is an excellent place from where to start a Loire Castles tour.
Clean room with all features available for an excellent stay.
The hotel is also provided with a nice restaurant with typical french food to enjoy at any time.
