What People are saying

Very clean, modern and affordable

SPPHon 13/11/2016 14:30

We were visiting family in Valencia and wanted to do a small excursion. So we rented a car and drove down to Montanejos. We weren't sure what to expect bt were pleasantly surprised.

Pro's:
- Very clean, modern apartments
- equipped with kitchen, plates and cooking equipment
- heating available
- so close to the natural pools
- has a jacuzzi and indoor pool
- we were 3 adults and 2 teenagers in a 2bed apartment, more than enough space
- so close to the main square where there are lots of cute little restaurants and tapas and convenience stores to by groceries.

Con's
- we were quoted on the phone, the lady said she would email us our quote but didn't.
- she increased the quote by 20 EUR when we got there which was a little annoying, but we couldn't be bothered to argue over it
- when we booked to use the spa, we were not told abut 'compulsory hats' that we hat to wear, so were forced into buying them before swimming, 2 EUR each!

Overall: would definitely return but ensure that you have the quote emailed across to you and confirm the cost of using the spa (if any!!)

Very nice apartment to stay in. Reception spoke no English and our Spanish is limited but they were so lovely and spent lots of time helping us understand everything. Bike routes were more difficult than we had believed even the east routes are gravely and steep. Beautiful scenery and good shops just around the corner. Only really Spanish tourists around there so I very well kept secret spot of paradise.

Clean, comfortable and helpful staff

We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for our weekend trip to Montanejos and the surrounding area. The apartment consisted of two bedrooms, both with comfortable double beds, a compact bathroom, no bath, but a nice shower with piping hot water and good pressure. The main room had a kitchen area, a dining table with four chairs, and a lounge area with sofa bed and a flatscreen TV. We are a family of four and it was perfectly adequate for us. If you need an internet connection, WIFI is available in the seating area in the office, although I did manage to get a weak signal from our bedroom. Considering our options at this time of year, I was perfectly happy with the apartment.

Included in the rental was a one hour session at the Spa, where you have the use of a small gym, indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. The changing rooms were immaculately clean and it was nice to make use of this facility after a long days walking.

It is very quiet out of season, but this suited us as well because the purpose of our trip was to visit La Fuente de los Baños, natural thermal springs that have an annual temperature of 25º. The walk from the apartment is around 30 minutes and it commences directly opposite. In the summer months, the thermal springs become overcrowded. I swam with my children and we had the whole place to ourselves apart from one other bather which was great.

There is also a handily placed bar at the front of the complex. The owner was a nice chap from Barcelona and he made us a nice evening meal, and I also popped in the following morning for a light breakfast consisting of fresh orange juice, toast and jam with a milky coffee.

I will go back to Montanejos one day, and if I decide to stay a night, i'll certainly consider the Campuebla apartments again.
