Smelly bathroom, noisy small street

I spent just one night in the Pension Can Setmanes, as for exploring Blanes beaches with time (coming from Barcelona)
Well what too say?? I am not
picky..
The bathroom stinks out of all
sinks! Close the door always and
consider to shower pee elsewhere...
The location centric,
in a small street off Ramblas. Sounds nice though? Well, there
is a cheap spirit bar
downstairs with locals worker class (if working or not just doing drugs..)
Anyway I understood why the
receptionist told to close entrance door very well... Felt really unsafe. Guys screaming,knocking heavenly pension's door without any reason...
Other not ok fact was that check out normally at 12, I was asked to move out around 11sh. Ok now
as I ll be so happy to leave...
And as well to be mentioned a renewal is very needed. No
good standard at all in the bathroom.
Complaining at the checkout the receptionist did not care a lot, as this is possibly due to constructions which are made on the street. He states it already smells since 2 weeks.
If you consider a booking, better call and get re assured the smell
is fixed. I couldn't do any more night with this!

A little of real Spain

This is a great little Pension, very central to the town but most of all the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food in the restaurant is great Spanish food cooked by the family and served also by the family, you can't go wrong!
The rooms are basic but they come with shower(hot water) clean bedding ,towels power points for the gadgets the only thing missing is a pool but the beach is a five minute walk.
