Unexpected stay

Family medical emergency brought me to Albuquerque for 5 days. The staff, including manager went above and beyond expectations. Clean, quiet, place. Security making rounds on a regular basis during 3rd shift. Free laundry and dryer, ill take it! Highly recommend !

Dated and felt slightly unsafe

Hotel has seen much better days. Signage in the lobby was all over the place, including one stating Albuquerque residents require a $500 deposit (which i don't understand) and many signs stating they're not responsible for any loss or damage to your vehicle. Also lots of locked doors, felt kind of prison like. Lots of cameras though but i didn't feel comfortable leaving things in my car. Ultimately all was fine but i didn't sleep too well. If passing through would stay elsewhere.

My home for three weeks!

Comfortable, really friendly staff. Clean - they even cleaned a second time in a week for me after I experienced allergies. Having your own kitchen was really useful, close to public transport and it's cheaper to book and pay in advance. Use of washing machine, dryer and gym equipment is free. Nothing super fancy but more than adequate for my needs.

I Have Stayed at this Location more than Dozen Times And Every Time He’s Been acceptable. Until Now. I’m Not Sure What This Was, Other Than un-nerving. The fire detector was wrapped in a waste bin liner.

Rachel the Manager Dissapoints

Cherie Non 06/07/2017 05:24

Horrible experience! Beware, do not stay here, no customer service at all. I booked ahead through an agency specifically looking for a hotel where my 19-year-old college student could check in. Upon check-in, he was turned away because he wasn't 21, despite prior arrangements made through the travel agency and pre-payment provided! I called and spoke with RACHEL the manager who refused to accommodate, and only offered me sarcastic remarks stating "children shouldn't travel alone." My son is 19. I asked for information for another hotel who might accommodate someone under 21 and Rachel stated there weren't any in Albuquerque. I'm not sure why she said this when we luckily found Best Western a few miles away and they were very accommodating. You would think a hotel manager could offer this kind of information. Instead Rachel was very unkind and rude to a desperate mom who was calling from out of state, trying to find a safe place for her son to stay after he had been driving for 12 hours. I asked if there was anything I can do to secure him a room and Rachel said "Yeah, you can come in with him to check in." Another sarcastic remark knowing full well I was calling from out of state. Candlewood is not family-friendly and has absolutely zero professionalism or customer service from their management. I'm still working on the refund. Will never stay at a Candlewood after this experience.
