Avergae Budget Property in Need of Updates

I was here on a two week stay for business. Was warmly greeted at check in and received a complimentary upgrade to a two room suite as a IHG Rewards Club Gold Elite member. This is an older property that suffers from deferred maintenance and lack of recent updates. Based on the décor in my room I would say its has been a good 10 plus years since anything has been done. My room was in desperate need of a good top to bottom cleaning or better yet a total make over with paint, carpet, furniture bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, etc. The HVAC unit in my room was really dirty and beat up with some type of home made cover to divert air into the bedroom. The kitchen utensils had seen better days and I took the frying pan down to the front desk and got another. Bed was comfortable. The exterior of the property is in poor shape with weeds growing out of the landscape rocks, landscape rocks scattered about from the snowplows, dead trees (one was cut down while I was there), older windows, etc. They offer free washers and dryers. There is no breakfast. There is a Noah's marketplace grocery right near by. The owners of this property could do a lot to improve the overall appearance both inside and out. Some things would be very easy and inexpensive and would go a long way to improve the property. The quality of the property is reflected in the price. I would likely not stay here again.

Not as good as other Candlewood Suite hotels

I stayed in this hotel for quite some time. Hotel Rooms are not as clean and up to the mark as it is expected of Candlewood standards. I am telling this from my experience staying at other Candlewood properties in the past. The condition of furnitures and upholstery are really bad. Hotel staff is also not very friendly and co-operative.

This is a very nice place to stay. It is really for extended stays but I stayed for only one night due to a power outage. It is very clean and modern. I loved the recliner in the room. There is a fitness area and laundry room for guests. They have a library of movies you can borrow to watch in the room. The only thing I had an issue with was the alarm clock. It didn't work. Good thing my internal clock was working, lol. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here at the last minute with friends. Good price, easy to get to. This property only has one bed in each room, so not recommended for anyone with more than 2 people. The room also came with a mini kitchenette. The bed was comfy, room was very clean!

Friendly Accommodating Staff

Good value and accommodating staff. We needed a first floor room because we have elderly dogs we also needed early arrival. We were able to get both with no fuss. The beds are comfortable and I like the full size fridge. The price is reasonable as is the pet fee (although it would be even better if there were no pet fee)

Two small complaints - There is only one movable chair in a room for two that is meant for an extended stay. This makes it impossibe to eat together at the counter in the kitchen. The placement of the toilet paper roll in the bathroom makes it awkward to use.
