The entire staff has made my family and me feel at home- we have been here for two months and they have done everything to make us feel comfortable!
Our rooms are very nice and extremely clean- to make things better, house keeping comes once a week to clean our room and change our bedding. Every house keeper that we have met is ridiculously nice and great at their job!
The rooms include cooking necessities such as pots, pans, dinnerware, glassware, utensils, etc... And if they don't have it in your room you can borrow it at the front desk. The same goes for laundry- they provide a laundry basket AND FREE LAUNDRY SERVICES!!! They have washers and dryers that you can use for free at any time! That has saved my family and I so much time and money.
They also have outdoors grills and movies that you can borrow.
Honestly, I can't say enough nice things about this place. And if you have any problems, the staff goes out of their way to get it resolved as quickly as possible!

Front desk staff was super helpful, Dana and Selena gave us wonderful information! However, the room itself had this disgusting smell in it and we couldn't figure out what it was. I would NOT stay here again. The hotel lobby is decent enough, the room just wasn't. The bathtub was obviously ignored when they cleaned the room as there were black marks on the bottom that we could mostly wipe off.

We are having our home cleaned and renovated and had need of a place to stay for 3 weeks. The staff was amazing from start to finish. They allowed us to see a room before we moved in. We opted for the apartment style rather than the studio (I would recommend the upgrade if you can afford it for long term stays - the extra room and private bedroom are well worth it) Everything worked and was completely like home. The lending locker is an awesome bonus. There was no oven and I am a person who cooks everyday so I 'rented' (it's free) the toaster oven and was allowed to keep it the entire stay. Had use of a crock pot and games (there were SO many other things we didn't need but basically if you need it they have it!)

The laundry facilities are amazing as well and someone took our laundry soap but the desk staff gave us a bag that someone had left behind without question. Any issue we had was solved without hassle. I was able to keep my cats with me and the charge was minimal for a 3 week stay. I came home on housekeeping day to 3 people in the room . 2 to watch my cats so they didn't esccape or get hurt or scared while the housekeeping staff cleaned. No one once complained that it was happening and they were awesome with the animals.

I was able to walk to almost anything I could need. The rooms were noise proof we rarely heard anyone else in the halls or anywhere else.

The kitchen has almost anything you could want. The entire facility is clean. The grills on the patio are a great addition. Honestly I could not find anything to complain about. Reen and Jeremy are a serious credit to the establishment. I wish there were 10 stars!

As a frequent business traveller it's refreshing to find a friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable front desk staff. The crew at this Candlewood Suites was superlative!
My recent two week stay was easy and comfortable. Comfortable beds, handy pantry, free laundry and a lending library of small appliances made the experience great. I recommend this place if your travels take you to the greater Detroit area.

Perfect for holiday visit

My wife and I spent the Thanksgiving holiday at this property. We had plans with family in the area, but needed lodging. On short notice, we were able to secure a queen room for a price under $100/night. The rooms have a full-size fridge (great for leftovers or drinks) as well as a full kitchen with all accessories. The hotel was clean, provided a pantry area to buy food, a small workout room, and laundry services. Since it was our first time using this chain, we didn't realize that housekeeping is done only weekly. However, the staff stressed that we could call any time for towels or anything else. Dana at the front desk was especially pleasant and helpful.
