Ready to Go
khristywon 05/07/2017 17:23So let me start with the positives: the area of the hotels has a lot of eatries & a mall. Staff was friendly. You get a lot of coupons & plant fitness gym access when checking in. The hotel has grills and a nice patio section.
But unfortunately, a combination of a bunch of things has made my stay a lil annoying. 1) if your GPS is directing you to turn on Easy Str to access the hotel TURN YOUR GPS OFF and look for Northwood Rd or Ave (the mall entrance) because Easy Str is a run down unsafe looking street (the street sign is partially hidden and for good reasons) Turning on this street will certainly give you a bad impression of the hotel.
2) there was a goof with our room. Carried our luggage to the room only to open the door & have 2 beds vs 1. Actually that wasnt a big issue...honest mistake
3) at 1st glance the room looks nice until I realized only 1 side of the bed has an end table & outlet. So my husband and I was trying to share this 1 lil table before going to bed. And only 1 of us could plug our phone up near the bed.
4) the bed is so close to the wall that if 2ppl are in the bed only 1 person can easily get out. So I moved the bed to give us a little more room. The room is sufficient for 1 person but not 2.
5) I needed to make a few toll free calls for work...room phone doesnt work
6) while I was sitting at the desk working on my laptop I kept smelling urine. Took me 2 days to realize a cat or dog much have peed in the corner.
7) the fan in the bathroom randomly gets really loud at any given time.
8) a spider greeted me at the door (coming from the ceiling/light fixture).
9) the sink in the kitchen area and the drain was dirty.
10) the lounge chair near the bed is broke.
Needless to say Im just ready to go before I find something else to add to this list.
This Candlewood stay wasn't one of my finest. But for the rate I couldnt beat it. And it wasn't a bad hotel. It may be a great stay for someone else. But it just didn't work for me!
A couple day getawy
Tummons617on 22/06/2017 20:19My husband has been staying at this place for nearly 2 months for work. I took a weekend trip to visit him and I enjoyed the suite. Bed was comfortable, room was cleaned well on sunday. Enjoyed the amenities. Convenient and secure entrances around the building. Full size fridge is well appreciated by my husband, saving him some money not having to go out to eat all the time. Loved the water pressure in the shower. The few employees that I came in contact were all very pleasant.

CypressTX_Traveleron 27/04/2017 05:08Great place for extended stay. Pack light but don't forget detergent because the hotel provides FREE washer and dryers. Great for families. Our suite was spacious. Getting to the airport didn't take long.
Average Stay
Tom Aon 27/04/2017 00:30I stayed at this property for just one night. The location was good. My room was average but clean. Tiles were cracked in the bathroom, probably due to settling of the foundation, but not a big deal. Some bleach (?) stains by TP dispenser. Bed was comfortable.
