Had no idea an extended stay

We stayed during our trip to Indianapolis and not until check in were we aware this location was an extended stay location. No where in the description on-line, when making the reservation via phone, or even on the automatic email reminding us of our upcoming stay that they send out a few days prior was it ever mentioned that there are long term "residents" at the hotel.
Had we known we never would have stayed here for our trip as housekeeping is not daily, there is no longer included in the rate, and any small item that you can usually get complementary if you forget (razor, toothpaste, etc) they charge for. Plus some of the folks who were staying long term were not the folks you really want hanging around the lobby (ankle monitor!) room and hallway also smelled of cigarettes.

Clean, quiet room, friendly staff

I liked the gym and the "cupboard" you have access to food and beverage items, plus the room included a kitchenette with pots, pans and everything you'd need, right down to paper towels. I enjoyed my stay in room which was clean, quiet and modern.

Can't Believe How Bad This Stay Was....

I am amazed at the reviews I'm reading about what great service, etc. this hotel has. We typically stay at Candlewood Suites since they take dogs. We were in a King Bedroom Suite over Easter weekend. The HVAC unit was in the living room. There was no HVAC unit in the bedroom. There was little fan built in the wall between the living room and bedroom. So the living room was freezing cold and the bedroom hot.

There was a light fixture above the dining island in the kitchen that was out; and at 2:00 a.m. the smoke detector in our room started beeping and we had to reset it multiple times.

While walking our dogs on the premises, there was a huge chunk of cheese and wrapper on the sidewalk. It laid there for the entire 3 days we were there. The bin for the dog waste was completely overflowing as were the regular trash bins outside the front doors of the hotel.

My husband went to the front desk to let them know about the light fixture, the smoke alarm and cheese/trash situation outside. The front desk staff were eating novelty ice cream treats at the front desk. One of the staff told my husband, "He didn't have to yell..." and my husband was shocked. He told them he wasn't yelling, they just didn't want to hear what his concerns were.

We won't be staying at this hotel ever again. That said, if you're ever in Columbia, MO I would HIGHLY recommend the Candlewood Suites there. Now that's awesome!!

The management and staff were terrific. The manager was very helpful in booking a room for us and our associates. Very professional and friendly. Indianapolis hospitality is alive and well at Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Northwest.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I had the pleasure of staying at this Candlewood location while I was in Indianapolis. Literally, EVERYTHING about this property blew me away. Even while they have some sort of on-site construction happening, the entire place is quiet and clean.
When I checked in I was greeted by a very helpful front desk clerk (I'm sorry that I don't remember her name). Not only did she quickly get me taken care of , but she also offered info on restaurants and such in the area.
When I got to my room, I found a HUGE workdesk. A Nice kitchen, large sitting area and a separate bedroom with another flatscreen TV.
The problem with hotels is that very often, you just don't feel comfortable, even in the nicest rooms. Well, that was not the case here! I hate the fact that I have to check out! This is, easily, the most comfortable and usable hotel room I have ever stayed in. From the location, staff, and room this place is a home run!
Without doubt, I found the only place I will stay when I'm in Indy from now on. They earned my business by doing everything well!
