imadcapon 30/07/2017 22:43I had not originally intended to stay at the Candlewood Suites. Due to an unexpected allergic reaction to something in the room of the hotel I began my trip with I needed to find a new location. This occurred during the Breyer Fest and almost every hotel room in the greater Lexington area was booked. I was fortunate to find a room available at the Candlewood Suites. The facility is not as glitzy or expensive as the big name hotel I had intended to stay at. It is however extremely clean and the suites and included amenities (a kitchen) are very spacious and comfortable. You get so much more for a lot less money. The staff, especially Christine, Kyle and Gary went above and beyond in attempting to meet my every need. They managed to convert an impending disaster into a pleasurable stay. The only drawback was the location for me as it resulted in some unanticipated need to travel to locations I wished to go. This would not be a problem when planning a new stay. I would definitely stay here again.
Awesome Staff, Clean rooms, and quiet location.
Matt Von 23/07/2017 07:14The front desk staff is excellent, doesn't matter if you're checking in or out, they go above and beyond to make you happy. Perks- quiet location, food on Wednesday's (how many hotels offer that?) Needs work- wifi sometimes goes poopy in the evening.
business trip consisting of several weeks
David Ron 21/07/2017 21:15This property is very well managed, always courteous and friendly staff. The legacy trail is just across the street which is excellent for walking or biking. I would recommend this hotel to anyone need a place to stay while in the Lexington area.

Janet Mon 17/07/2017 20:11Stayed here while attending Breyerfest at Kentucky Horse Park. All front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean. 3rd floor hallway smelled like smoke, but room didn't and was fine. Pool area was fine. Rate was excellent - it was a special for the event we attended.
Clean hotel as long as you don't want restaurants close by

The negatives were the fact that there wasn't a breakfast provided and you had to get on the loop around town to find a restaurant. The pool's PH balance was off as the pool was murky. There was a full kitchen that enabled us to not have to go out as I had food in a cooler. So if you don't care about having onsite or nearby food, I would recommend staying here.
