Perfectly adequate
Case_n_Courton 10/05/2017 20:28I stayed here just one night while on business in Paducah, and found everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The rate was reasonable, the check-in was seamless, and the lobby was clean and neat. I was impressed with my room, it was roomy and nicely laid out. I am always pleased to see a fridge/freezer and a nice desk area to spread out my work for the evening. For me IHG family hotels are usually dicey when it comes to comfort, but I was impressed with the mattress and the overall finishes in the room. The bathroom was extremely clean and so was the kitchen area. I'd be more than happy to stay here for an extended period of time.

Poorly Laid Out Room
tourchickon 25/03/2017 01:34We stayed at the Candlewood in Paducah because it's pet-friendly and I could use my IHG points for the stay. It was clean as most IHG properties are but the room was laid out poorly. We had a king studio suite which is smaller than a regular suite BUT there was a recliner next to the bed which made it impossible to get out of the bed without crawling to the foot of the bed.
Another Good Candlewood Hotel
TNTraveler38501on 10/03/2017 22:12We prefer to stay at a Candlewood when available. The two rooms allow us to each enjoy different TV stations and the kitchen is a big plus. Our room was clean and had all the tools we needed for meal preparation (light cooking only). The staff was friendly and helpful. It was also conveniently located. It was minutes from downtown and easily accessible off I-24. It's close to the usual restaurants one finds along an Interstate. Though absolutely no fault of the staff, I wasn't happy with the construction noise from across the street as I start my day later than the construction crew.
Needs A Bit More Attention
O8428UXdougmon 03/02/2017 20:35Generally enjoy the Candlewood experience because it offers an alternative to cook a light meal after a long day on the road versus the time consumed going out to eat. I think that this one needs to take a look at the cleaning products and air freshener that are being used. Room retained an odor that left a bit to be desired. I think the hotel is a little aged as well.
