What People are saying

An amazing drive to this Gem!

Great place to stay.Staff is very friendly. One of my favorite things about Candlewood suites is they offer DVD's to checkout free of charge for the length of your stay. Among some of the other perks is free laundry and there is also a well kept up work-out room. There was plenty of room in the actual rooms, and they were clean and seemed to be well kept up. Thank you Candlewood Suites!!

A Great Place to Stay with Amazing Staff

I really love this hotel. Even though I had some problems there, that is the true test of service.
I was driving to Los Angeles for a book signing and stopped to stay at this hotel both on the way there and the way back. It had easy access right off I-70 close to all the little ski chalet towns. My first stop was on June 26 and after 12+ hours of driving, I was ready for a break. The staff were so nice. Vanna and another clerk took care of me. They gave me a room on the first floor since I was traveling alone and had a heavy suitcase.
I was surprised to find a full kitchen, complete with a stove and full-sized fridge. All the appliances were very clean, like the rest of the room.I believe the bed was a queen and it was super comfortable, soft yet supportive. There was a nice desk and even a corkboard. The bathroom was large and well stocked with towels and soaps (I use natural products so bring my own, but it's always nice to see they have these for other travelers. The towels were very thick and luxurious and the shower was clean.
There was a Domino's across the way and I got a gluten-free pizza in no time. I wish I'd bought some cream since they had a nice full pot coffeemaker. The weather was warm and the A/C worked perfectly.
As I said in another review, I had a small car and it was fully packed with books and other promo items for the signing and no one bothered the car at all. Good lighting in the parking lot and very secure area.I slept so well in this room
Vanna was there the next morning and was just as pleasant after working all night. She truly went above and beyond.
I returned on my way home to Ontario on July 4th. Kathy was at the desk and was super friendly and helpful. I had a few issues during this stay, but she was always ready to help. I asked if they had cream for sale in the large store operated out of the hotel. She said it was coming in the next day but actually went and got her OWN cream (Hershey chocolate/caramel creamers) and gave them to me. I had a room on the third floor but the elevator was close and made it easy to get my luggage up. The room was just as clean and super comfortable. I really love the beds and pillows here and that is probably the biggest consideration for me with my joint issues. During my 12 nights of traveling these beds were the most comfortable, on par with the beds at the Hyatt Regency International in LA.
I ordered from the Domino's across the way again, but something was wrong with the pizza. It didn't have much sauce on it and didn't taste good. It had me up in the middle of the night with godawful heartburn. The pizza I'd gotten on June 26 had been wonderful, so not sure what happened there?
I'm a tv sleeper and unfortunately, just as I was about to go to sleep in the first room...yes, there were 2 rooms...the tv stopped working. I'd gone up to channel 122 and it froze. I turned the tv off and on again, but that didn't help. I called down and Kathy advised me to turn off the satellite box. I did, but that still didn't help. I just can't sleep without the tv on and able to hear human voices. Kathy very nicely switched me to a room across the hall and came up to help me. I was very impressed she was so sensitive to my problem. It wasn't a great night's sleep, but problems do happen and this was also largely due to the pizza. The tv in the new room worked great. That room was just as clean and comfy as the others had been.
In the morning, Vanna was there again and it was nice to get to see her and chat a bit before heading off on another 12-hour drive.
The only real problem I had with this hotel is that, although I told them on both occasions that I had prepaid on Expedia and showed them the printed receipt, after I got home, Candlewood charged my card for the July 4 stay. That is a pain, due to the need to make an International call from Canada. But, they called the next day to say they had been able to solve the problem. I haven't seen the credit go back on my card yet, but I'm certain that is only because of the weekend. What's so great about this hotel is that they truly care about the people staying there and it shows in the effort and pleasantness of the staff and the high quality of the accomodations. Would definitely stay with them again!

Good stay.. Free guest laundry..

Stayed Sat 06/24 and Sun 06/25/2017. Paid full $91.91 price for Sat stay and got the Sunday room using 10K Reward points. Very nice hotel.

Hotel is just off interstate I-70 and has plenty of parking. A few restaurants are a mile or so from the hotel.

Our check in was friendly but they got billing for our reward night wrong and charged us for the room. A call to their desk after our return corrected this issue.

Lobby is large and inviting. A single elevator to our room shuttered every time is came to a stop. Our king room was large, clean and comfortable with all expected Candlewood apartment style amenities. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. All linen was clean. Bathroom was good size and clean. Water pressure was adequate. Carpets were light and clean. TV was smallish but with plenty of channels. The wifi was easy to access, fast and reliable. HVAC was digital and worked well. No breakfast as expected, but we did have some complimentary coffee from the pantry. We also took advantage of their free guest laundry with multiple clean washer/dryers.

First off I must say I am so glad that I stayed in Parachute. Candlewood suites is an excellent place to stay and we did 2 nights. There is a fish farm and a park with a great walk to and around a waterfall that was a great way to start our Colorado stay. Can't say enough good about the hotel. Clean, comfortable, nice kitchenette and the staff is superlative. Will go back when in the area.

Overnight Along I-70

Barbara Ton 11/06/2017 00:18

My husband and I stopped for the night after visiting Arches National Park earlier in the day. Candlewood in Parachute was a great value versus hotels in Grand Junction or further east along I-70. The hotel room was clean and spacious with a small kitchen and full size refrigerator. Bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. Free microwave popcorn, but no free breakfast. Didn't bother us a bit because we went to Mama's Cafe in town for an amazing breakfast.
