Geoffrey Hon 19/07/2017 13:46Cheery, bright, and clean hotel, with attentive and friendly staff, a lovely private beach, a large pool, buffet breakfast, and all around good service. Rooms were quite large, with ample towels, working A.C. and nice beds. Downside were small tv's and weak Wi-Fi. I can put up with the t.v., but strong Wi-Fi is essential nowadays.
Clean and comfortable, dated bur renovations in process
jk32940on 06/06/2017 13:33Stayed overnight due to flight layover. Room was dated but very clean and comfortable. A/C (set with a remote) took about 40 minutes to cool room but it did cool the room. Surprise was the balcony/patio area which had a fridge, microwave, sink, 2 burner stovetop, coffee maker, and a full set of cooking and eating utensils. Would be very nice for vacationing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was okay (did breakfast buffet and was satisfied). Several other restaurants within short walking distance (recommend seafood place -- L'Oursin Blanc).
Nice beach hotel, great location to visit the island!
amritakmon 20/04/2017 16:04The hotel gave us a lovely room which had sea views. The room was clean and large, it was of a good standard, but everything on the island is very expensive for what it is so we were happy with the choice. There is a kitchenette which you could easily cook in if you wanted to have some evenings on the balcony after a day on the beach/exploring the island. However there is also a restaurant onsite and some restaurants within walking distance by the casino. We visited a couple of the restaurants nearby which were nice.
Breakfast is ok, you get the same things everyday which can get tiresome after the second day, however it's good to get the day going and served quite early. If you have to pay extra for the breakfast I would not recommend it. It would be better to buy some things from the bakeries/supermarket close by (driving distance).
The pool is lovely and quiet and there is a nice private beach for the hotel, with sun loungers and a bar. Renting a car is a must if you want to explore the island and there is plenty of parking at the hotel. The nicer beaches were in Le Gosier itself - we did not attempt to walk so I couldn't say how long it would take but it was about a 5min drive. Traffic on the island can be quite bad so if you get stuck in it a lot longer! The beaches on Basse Terre were amazing and had far less people on some of them, would highly recommend visiting.
There was a particular member of staff at the hotel who was extremely friendly and the others were ok, a few members also speak English if you don't speak a lot of French. If I returned to Guadeloupe I would definitely stay again, as it's good value for money on the island. The location is also very good, as it's easy to visit both Basse Terre and Grand Terre and close to the airport.
The most basic beach hotel
Francisco don 15/03/2017 00:48The hotel rooms are too basic, no design at all, the restaurant food is bad and the breakfast too basic. The beach looks ok but has too many people. I am really disappointed with my first hotel in Guadalupe, however, i love the island.
Guadeloupe is wonderful
barbaranyekion 14/03/2017 15:12We had a wonderful time at Hotel. The rooms was cosy and clean, staff was frendly. We tried local food which was delicious, local people are hospitable. We hope come back... and we recommend the Hotel to our friends too. Barbara from Hungary
