Rocked out with Peace Frog
Michael Bon 04/06/2017 08:42Rocked out with Elizabeth Terry at the Peace Frog concert at The Club in the Cannery Casino in Las Vegas. Peace Frog is a "Doors" tribute band based in Venice Beach California. They look like The Doors. They sound like The Doors. They played all the great Doors songs and played them well. The lead singer dances on the stage and engages the audience like Jim Morrison did. If you are a Doors fan I suggest you check out Peace Frog in concert in Venice Beach, CA or at their new gig on the Sunset strip. Or you can catch them at one of their future Las Vegas shows. I'm glad I did and am looking forward to seeing them again!
Worth the money.
neborr357on 23/05/2017 14:38Stayed in the casino one night as our jump off place for Utah. Off the strip close to I-15 towards Utah. Comfy beds, spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. The casino has restaurants and a movie house. Friendly and helpful staff, who informed me that we had three bookings instead of two from Expedia. Assisted me all the way until settled. The only issue is I can hear footsteps from the third floor, we are on the second. Also can hear passers by talking in the hallway. Air condition is good and we had a good sleep.
Worst Casino Ever
Mike Gon 19/05/2017 19:13This casino is awful. I was playing craps and some guy came to the table and as I was talking to my friend standing next to me he tried to take my winnings. Dealers did nothing to stop it and as I accused the guy of taking my money he just shrugged it off. Then his friends got aggressive. There was 6 of them and just me and my friend. Then he stood there and every time I won on a roll the worker tried to give him my winnings. Finally I had enough and moved to the other side of the table. Awful casino.
Nice Concert Venue
Sr Fon 04/05/2017 03:24We attended the Disco Explosion, the concert venue is very nice. It is partly indoor and partly outdoor. You must walk through the casino which is very smokey. We sat in the indoor portion and are planning to go again. There isn't a bad seat. The sound system is very good too. The ticket prices are very reasonable.
Tobacco Smoke Everywhere
lbimimon 26/04/2017 23:52OK, so smoking is popular in Vegas, I get that. But our room in the non-smoking wing still had remnants of smoke. One night I woke up smelling FRESH smoke coming through the vents. Other than that, if you don't have a car your meal options are limited. On weekdays there's one choice for breakfast (which made me sick both times we opted for that) other than "take out". Room was clean and comfortable but there was no vent fan in the bathroom, unless you count the A/C vent over the shower head. Yeah, interesting effect having the A/C sending cold air on top of your nice hot shower. Wall dispensers for soap and shampoo? Really? So the price is decent, but you're pretty much in the middle of nowhere without a car. Nothing within walking distance. Minimal food choices. I think in the future I'll spend the extra and go back to the Strip or Downtown.
