What People are saying
Adequate

Having travel extensively, I am aware that certain localities or regions offer limited accommodations, that’s why I completely understand the accommodations provided by the Cantalagua Inn. If you don’t believe look at what the other accommodations in the region have to offer. That said, the hotel and room was clean and the food was adequate, and the service was acceptable. However, the drain on my hot-tub/shower did not work, nor was the Wi-Fi (all three) particularly reliable. All in all, it’s not a hotel that I can rave about, all one can say is that considering what else is out there, it’s the best that one can get.
Lovely Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for a week as my husband and I were participating in a conference nearby. We found it extremely clean and friendly. A little problem with the water as it changed from hot to cold depending, I suppose, on who else was showering. Breakfast was not included but was very good and made this American very happy to get eggs over easy without beans. The fresh fruit plate was delicious and the service "always with a smile." The only negative thing is that it looks like there is an infinity pool on the web page and there is no pool at all. Perhaps, initially, there was where the tennis courts are now located. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Attended a wedding and stayed over - the owners have done a wonderful job restoring this very old Hacienda and all the gardens around it - it's country club is also superb - Our food was delicious but maybe it was just for the wedding - Stayed in one of the suites which was very large and decorated with charmless furniture - huge bathroom and very comfortable bed.

Grateful to find a clean hotel out in the boondocks--but...

so, i arrived in this town around midnight--and was grateful when i came across this hotel--i asked a taxi for the best hotel in town. Anyway, it is about a hundred bucks per night--which is high for Mexico, particularly out in the countryside--it is sort of like a "suites" hotel in the US...but it has
NO AIR CONDITIONING!
And only a tiny little window opens so it is needlessly stale in the rooms...there is no circulation of air at all--really surprising and a bummer.
Decent water pressure.
Very thin towels.
Has two wifi sites--each with a different password--and the longest most complicated password yet in Mexico...i miss Holiday Inn Express with their no password situation!
Feels safe in the hotel...but not so sure about the parking lot where i left my truck for the night--kind of worried about that...
