Spacious, clean apartments in central location

After reading all the great reviews I was worried after reading the review from the couple from Edinburgh.

However, my fears were put to rest on arrival. Yes the apartments were dated (but we knew this),they were also spacious and spotlessly clean.

We had a 2 bedroom overlooking pool and a slight sea view.

We had breakfast/brunch in apartments every day and one night cooked a roast chicken with bake potatoes and salad. Full size fridge and proper cooker with a good selection of pots etc all spotlessly clean made this an easy option on the night we didn't want to go out.

Shopping centre across road has a huge continente supermarket which is very reasonable, and also has a few places to eat within it (Pizza Hut, burger ranch and a pasta bar).

Pool was perfect size and depending on time of day is either quiet or busy. Good few times we were only ones there (myself, husband and 2 boys). A few other families with kids also which my boys loved!.

Apartments felt secure (we allowed our nearly 12 year old to go to and from pool and apartment on his own).

There is no pool bar but I found this an advantage. We just went up and down to apartment for a beer, juice water and there was no issue having this at pool. Everyone was respectful of pool and used bin provided to dispose of any rubbish.

Apartments are in a great location, central to old and new town and beach.

I would recommend a visit to Mother India restaurant (just before strip in new town). It doesn't look like much but food was amazing!

Will definitely return.

Spacious apartment

I was a little apprehensive about visiting these apartments after the previous review. The apartments are dated but very spacious and clean. I saw no insects at all in the apartment during my stay, not even an ant. We had a room with a pool view with a long balcony and a terrace, it was fantastic and had a great sea view. We rushed out to buy toilet roll etc but there was no need as the cleaners came in everyday to mop the floor and replenish the toilet roll. The apartments are in a safe area and a 10minute walk to the old town and about a 20minute walk to the strip. We would return to the apartments if we were in the area again.

Disappointment

Partner and I were here for a holiday in June. Appartments are spacious although furniture very dated. A lot of cracks in walls and ceiling which werent pretty to look at. Kitchen basic but had everything you need there was a kettle, microwave and cooker although we never used this. We were very disappointed that there was no pool bar as this would have made a difference. Shower was poor and water on the cold side. There was seagulls cleaning themselves at the pool and even swimming in the pool at one point which was slightly off putting. I paid 10 euros for wifi but sadly this only worked for the first hour then I couldnt get connected to it again. A lot of improvements could be made to the appartments to make it more pleasant. Cleaner came in everyday but there was a couple times our bin wasnt emptied so this was very full. The main issue with our holiday was that we experienced around seven cockroaches within our appartment in the first week. We did not leave our balcony doors open at any point and these were mostly in the bathroom although we had a couple in the lounge area. Management gave us a poision spray to put down. But this was still a disappointment as we felt scared when dealing with these. It had an impact on our holiday, but its understandable that cockroaches are not preventable in hot countries. I felt let down because ive been to portugal 5 times and have only ever experienced 1 cockroach within my accommodation. The manager was as helpful as he could be throughout our holiday. We felt welcome when we arrived and he seemed friendly. But due to what we experienced here, I would not return.

Great location with friendly staff

Read all previous reviews and all was good and yes the furniture is a bit dated, but this a very minor detail as the appartments are very spacious and Viktor was very helpful and welcoming. Quite and good location with supermarkets within a short distance away. Zoomarine bus at top of the road and the wee train is a must to get around, kids under five go free and only five euros for an all day pass is def worth it. Would definatly visit again, we had a great holiday and so did our kids.

One week stay

We stayed at this apartment for one week. It was really spacious and they had someone to let us in at 11pm. Had a good kitchen, bathroom included bath, bedroom was big and the living room was lovely. Really good value of money for what you get! Pool was nice and was a lot of families there which made it more friendly and comfortable. However the only down side was that the apartment we stayed in smelt of cigarettes
